Sorry, that was the season I was referring to as well but overlooked that fact that Ward signed in June 06. I thought it was for the 05-06 season, not at the end of it.

One might argue that we were stable (relatively) as a club in as much as we were playing at 'home', it was pre-SISU and Adams had a net spend of £1m that season, bringing in Elliott Ward from WHU. It was also our first season at the Ricoh...proper 'good vibe' feelings around the club.

I don't think it's relevant whether Robins has had more backing than other managers we've had to be honest. Even if he has (and I can see arguments both sides), you still need to be good at using the money effectively. We've had managers who've had access to money previously and not done well...
