    Slade's first post-match comments...

At least he was honest. We can't do the basics and he said so.

What exactly is the role of a Chairman ?

Could someone enlighten me because I genuinely don't know. After listening to Fisher over the last few days I am a at a loss. He says his role is to balance the budget . Is that it ? Is he responsible for trying to improve revenue streams, and to bring local businesses in to support the club...

Fisher's "frightened ball boys/girls" comments on Talksport.

Tim made a comment towards the end of the interview today on Talksport in which he said that those people chanting "SISU out" from the stands should perhaps bear in mind that there were ball boys and girls in tears during that game. In fact I did see one or two children leaving the stand at the...

Fisher live on CWR.... the countdown begins.

On CWR Friday 16th 6.00pm. I'm assuming it IS live and not pre-recorded. Whether fans will be allowed to speak to him or whether it's all been pre-arranged in house chit chat between Tim and Clive I don't know. I'm assuming it's a phone in, in which case it's a must-listen. Last time I heard...

Crawley : guess the gate and win a prize.....

Lets have a bit of fun for tonight's heavyweight match. Whoever gets the nearest to the official gate can become city manager until the end of the season with absolutely no money to spend and half the squad disappearing into a black hole in January. And you get to meet Tim....regularly. My...

It could have been Leeds United .......

That would have got us a crowd of over 20,000. Leeds are on a tremendous run and would have brought 6,000 at the very least. I just wonder what the receipts from such a fixture might have brought in. You've got to speculate to accumulate .....though not in our case.

Brian Richardson or Tim Fisher ?

I liked Brian Richardson because he actually spoke to the supporters. I wrote to him once because when I got to a game someone was in my seat (season ticket seat) and the stewards left him to it and moved me instead. Brian Richardson replied to my letter personally and apologised. I never once...

    Who would take relegation ?

......if it meant that our owners would go? No one knows who would come in either. Careful what you wish for, but what have we really got to lose ?

CWR post Cambridge phone in ....

Craig first caller spot on. The owners don't deserve our support so he's going to away games only next season.

    Venus post MK comments....

...."It's tough, but I'm learning all the time (about being a manager), but it's tough, tough" It's tough being a supporter as well . This doesn't give me any hope whatsoever . It may be obvious and honest but it doesn't instill confidence .

    CWR phone in.....

I appreciate it wasn't for very long but why on earth begin by talking about wasps ?

Rochdale : any season ticket holders not going in ?

I'm one of them, but I wondered what other season ticket holders' thoughts were on tomorrow.

Anything planned for the return Charlton fixture ?

On a Friday evening (on the telly ?) in April so a long way off, and who knows what may have happened to either club by then. Just wondered whether there is likely to be any joint action planned . I would anticipate that the media may be interested in this when it comes round again.

The "Glass half full " thread...

Just for fun. A bit of light relief amongst the gloom and doom. You might have to use your imagination for this though. Anyway..... If we win tonight (Oxford) it will be 2 wins in 3 matches in the league. That's six points from a possible 9. That's top six form . ....beat that.

Don't park on tesco petrol station/ Pizza hut feeder road.

I have parked for years on the small road between Pizza Hut and Tesco petrol. Usually its full on the pizza hut side of the road and allows a reasonably quick getaway from the match. Tonight I got a parking ticket. I hadn't noticed that they had put up private parking restriction signs on the...

How did Portsmouth get more media coverage ?

What do other clubs manage to do to get national coverage? Portsmouth were all over the news a few years ago . Hardly a mention beyond BBC Midlands for us. Are other fans' groups better organised, or simply more vociferous? How can we bring our plight to the national media. Any ideas?

    Graeme Hawley's comments

on the CWR phone in tonight were absolutely spot on. Should be invited in as a fan of the week if he ever gets time off.

Unit empty next to CCFC shop.......

...and its bigger, even if it were to be split in half . Perish the though any ideas of ambition. Wasps have probably already bagged it.

The Group hug before kick off.........

This increasingly contagious event appears to be happening more and more just seconds before kick off and makes me laugh in increasing amounts. A call to arms, a time for the team to galvanise itself into a ruthless machine, to intimidate the opposition or just to show off yet another tattoo ...

We need a battering ram up front.......

Armstrong can't do it on his own, yet we keep lumping it to him and the opposition just bring it back, relentlessly, week in , week out. It is not working. If you don't change something that is not working then it's hardly likely it will change. We need a big powerful player next to him who can...
