  3. 2024/25 League 1 Champs?

Match Thread Coventry City - Plymouth Argyle Match Thread - Tuesday 28th Nov

Thought Wright wasn’t as effective tonight but he still did a job, and looked better a) after he scored, and b) when Simms came on defence solid again, looking like they’ve cut out the mistakes and all understand each other - including the full backs, who again weren’t as effective going...

as good as Wright looked the other day, he’s not the same player tonight, ineffective, slow, looks like he’s not bothered chasing anything down…. I’d almost be tempted to keep Godden on Also, why have we kept Jamie Allen on and taken Tats off?? awful sub that

agreed, we need a couple of midfielders at least, and yes Eccles is ok as backup but not (at present) a 1st choice starting championship midfielder…he is improving though unfortunately Fergusons_Beard has assumed I’m trying to replace Eccles like for like, rather than simply suggest who I’d...

well apart from the fact they are all current footballers, all proven championship performers, all midfielders, all potentially available / attainable, and also as I said in my post ‘in my opinion…’ ‘somebody like….’ constructive reply though, well done 👍🏼

Match Thread Millwall FC - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 25th Nov

I would disagree, Sheaf was far better in terms of distribution (Eccles’ passing was very wayward at times) and also positioning - Eccles had a decent game but wasn’t up to the same standard as Sheaf in my opinion, and to be honest he didn’t offer as much as Allen in terms of attacking threat...

I’m not sure Eccles was ‘outstanding’ - he had a decent game in spells today but isn’t the answer….Ben Sheaf was immense, and the back three in Kitching, Thomas and Collins looked like they’ve been playing together all season, finally what looks like a settled back line. Today was a good...
