    Hamer

what a difference a year makes - written off on here by a couple of the usual experts just 1 year ago after the red card at Millwall.

Match Thread Coventry City - Middlesbrough Match Thread - Saturday 12th Aug

He’s very slight in real life shmeee but certainly has the technical skills. I can’t automatically see him working with Sheaf in a midfield 2. I would see him working in the front 2 of a box with either Palmer or O’Hare.

Match Thread Coventry City - Middlesbrough Match Thread - Saturday 12th Aug

Exactly what I would go for SBD. Could argue that Sakamoto starts ahead of Palmer or even ahead of MvE (as he gets up to speed) at RWB. And as you point out a box of Sheaf - Hamer - Palmer- Sakamoto - I def would like to see that at some stage. Wright-Simms has to be the striking pair...

FFS Give our New Players a Chance!

I wish I really could believe that having a few too many shandies was to blame skyblu3sk. Might be for a couple of folks. For the majority of the 'totally mental brigade' on here - I seriously think they don't need any shandies to go completely hysterical and reach for the Samaritans help line...

Match Thread AFC Wimbledon v Coventry

I'm a big fan of JE but in midfield - I still don't see RWB as his natural position. Van Ewijk looked much improved at Dons vs. Leicester - getting up to speed - and his pace is going to be a very key asset in our team.

Match Thread AFC Wimbledon v Coventry

I usually agree with you coop. But I would say our defence in the last 20 mins yesterday was not first choice as it stands. As in: Eccles (RWB), Saka (LWB), Bidwell (LCB) etc. Looks to me at this very early point of the season that our first choice defence will be Van Ewijk (RWB), JDS (LWB)...

Match Thread AFC Wimbledon v Coventry

honestly hard to tell under those floodlights in the second half Sparksy particularly as we were at the other end! non-league quality lights in what is a very nice small stadium. has anyone commented on the contingent of USA fans who showed up to our left - first time I've seen that at a City...

Match Thread AFC Wimbledon v Coventry

I was there and not pissed off at all. We looked sublime at times with Saka and then later Palmer. Should have won easlily but not worried about going out of this comp. We go again on Saturday with a highly talented squad - going to be an enjoyable season.

    Player ratings v Leicester

Ratings are fairer than I expected. Simms and Wright will be a nightmare for defences when paired together. You can see that Simms has the attributes so anyone on here trying to make him this season’s boo boy can fuck right off. Eccles grew into the game but I’d prefer not to see him at RWB...

Video Haji Wright joins Coventry City!

Any new player providing honest answers to the idiot questions will become my all time cult hero: 'Excited to be joining the famous Sky Blues?' 'The money's decent.' 'How was the World Cup experience?' 'Hardly got a kick, hated the coach.' 'Excited to start training with the lads?' 'Not really'...

    Transfer Rumour Haji Wright

Exactly SBT. If we don't improve the interview questions, I see this happening with our next big signing: “How does it feel to get everything done?” 'I'm excited to be a Sky Blue.' “Are you excited for the challenge ahead?” 'Yes I am' “How much are you looking forward to getting started in...

    Transfer Rumour Haji Wright

Super excited by the signing. Banging my head against a brick wall given the quality of the questions in this interview - need to up our game.

Strongest current team. To be updated through the Transfer window..

Fantastic team and amazing to think 9 different players vs. how we lined up vs.Luton and just one pen away from the Prem.

    Jamie Allen

Very decent looking team that shmeee. I can't wait to see O'Hare fully fit and a return to the box with Palmer, O'Hare in combo and Godden on the bench to replace Simms in the last 20. We may also see Bidwell this season feature more at LCB and I'd trust him to do a very decent job there.

Strongest current team. To be updated through the Transfer window..

Very pleased with the quality of the new signings - Sakamoto, Simms, Latibeaudiere, and Da Silva have clearly been signed as starters. Having a fully fit Palmer and O'Hare as we go into the autumn will also be like having 2 class new signings on the pitch compared to the end of last season. If...

Transfer Rumour Confirmed - Bradley Collins

Disagree HDW on this one - Ben made some fantastic saves last season.
  17. DannyThomas_1981

    Hamer

Agreed Evo but with the additional caveat that this now happens every close season - hysterics from the drama queens.

    Things that don't happen nowadays

Players with combovers. Who was the last City player with a combover?

    Things that don't happen nowadays

A rational debate on SBT that doesn't immediately escalate into threats of taking it onto the cobbles, I know who you are you f....g dwarf and litigation.

    Last summer v this summer

This summer is already a fucking success vs. last time around with quite a few more high quality players to come in. Exciting times ahead - the dramatics and negativity on here - as always makes embarrassing reading. Not sure how many more times some can be proven wrong without giving it a rest.
