Actually, ZOHO isnt bad for a very small team of people, and is very low cost. Ended up switching to Salesforce when we connected all the International subsids in. Back in 1995, I used ACT. Pretty good for us then, and very easy to modify to suit the needs of my business.

Its quite a while since I purchased one, but yes features came into it, as did consultancy for set-up, training and support. Number of contacts were not an issue though, but as I said, things must have changed. (not at all surprised by that)

Must have changed. When I invested in a CRM system, it was costed against the number of users, not the amount of contacts.
