Love the way you typed that in Scottish.

Yeah, I get that. Every 5 minutes I'm sure it'd be 'daddy, I need another wee'.... I think I'll wait until he shows more interest. There's a hill that overlooks Portsmouth called Portsdown Hill and we drive across it to his nans house. I say 'look, what's that down there?' pointing at the city...

My boy is 3 next week and I've been wondering when to take him to his first game. Probably still too young I guess - similar to yours - the attention span of a knat. Will wait until he's a bit older.

I tried tapping updates before at a game but kept missing stiff so wondered how/why others do it. What age did you take your boy to his first game?

This is one of the most annoying things about this forum. The whole 'I go to games so my passion for the club is greater than yours'. Sorry G, but that's bullshit. Those who go to games are a.) lucky and b.) likely to form better opinions first hand. However, anyone who is a fan but doesn't go...

    This league is wide open.

We've struck gold with Gyo. Early days but could be a generational find for us. Finding another like him would be impossible I'd reckon. I agree with what you're saying but I doubt we'd have the cash to bring someone in, better than Walker/Godden who are both really, really good forwards...

I don't get people (not you) considering letting either of these, particularly Godden, going. Godden is a great striker, knows where the net is, has a great penalty record. Walker showed in glimpses last season that he's a good striker as well. If god forbid, Gyo was injured, I'd be happy with...

Genuinely. For me, less so who said it but just the fact that he's genuinely awful. Living in Portsmouth, every weekend was the same old story from lots of my mates.

Coventry City - as it stands

A lot of our 4 digit numbers are bigger than the oppos so I'm happy with that :)

I was to be fair but that was more in the hope that JJ came back from a 3rd serious knee injury and did well as he's been through a lot and I was hoping he'd show that he's championship material. I wasn't thinking he (nor Bright) could be crucial to our season though - more decent additions if...

Yep, totally agree with that to be fair. Was just mentioning female footballers because of the thread but you are indeed right. That Dr from Oxford Uni who helped develop the Covid vaccine - defo a role model.

I work with a couple of WSL teams and they're great to work with. The women's game has come on a lot in the last couple of years. This seasons TV deal with Sky and BBC has been great for them with more money going into the game and the teams now playing a number of games at mens stadiums. For...

There's costs associated with running such sides, even those in the Womens Championship. I suspect it was a cost thing.

Yeah you're probably right about a sell on clause but would be surprised if it was more than 15%
