    Where will we finish???

Thanks for doing this -- it's 3 steps forward, 2 steps back -- but is steady progress. I think we could make the play-offs if this trend continues. MR is doing a fine job/

    Highfield Road stand question?

The old Sky Blue stand was fab ! Benches to sit on and cushions they handed out ! Mostly timber, but so much atmosphere !

    Iain Jamieson

I can remember him playing when I used to up to Highfield Road in the mid - 50's ! A brilliant wing-half, formed a mid field of 3 - Iain Jamieson, Martin McDonald and Noel Simpson. Times have changed, as a young lad (12 years old) I used to love my Saturdays watching CCFC in the 1950's. No...

    Robins Rating.......Fans View ?

Yes, very pleased with him so far... he doesn't bull-shit, tells us, and the players, how it is. Tells us it is a huge task to turn it round and asks us to be patient. Playing crap, but this is a results business and so far, results have been OK, not brilliant, but as much as we could expect...

    last nine games

Some people don't appreciate there is no "quick fix" to the shit we are in... it's going to a long hard slog.. there will be no overnight miracles. We are not playing well, but MR (unlike AT) knows this and doesn't bull-shit.

The worst since I started supporting CCFC in 1952

I can remember our mid-field from 60 years ago as if it was yesterday -- Iain Jamieson, Martin McDonald, Noel Simpson -- how many of you will remember today's mid-field in 60 years time ? (Not to mention Gordon Nutt - as good as Ronnie Rees, Reg Matthews - the best goalkeeper ever to play for...

The worst since I started supporting CCFC in 1952

"We'll Fight Till The Game Is Won" -- what a joke ! Fight ? They don't know the meaning of the word. Yep, George Curtis, Mick Kearns, Lol Harvey -- all fighters. Colin Stein in latter years was a fighter !

The worst since I started supporting CCFC in 1952

Even when we got relegated to Div 4 (Now Div 3) it was because we finished in the bottom half of Div 3 (South) not because we finsished in the bottom 4. Having said that, I really enjoyed watching CCFC play in Div 3 (South)... we were "The Bants" (Banthams) or "The Old 5" in those days and...

    Robins Interview?

I'll give 100% support when the players give 100% effort.... until then.... why expect the supporters to give 100% committment when the players are not ? Works both ways !

Never thought I would do it

I live nearer to Cheltenham (and Forest Green) than Coventry. Cheltenham, a winning team built on a shoe string with gates of around 3,000. Old fashioned small ground, lots of ambience -- challenging for promotion to Div 1. Would give our toss pot of a team a run for it's money! God, I'm...

Mark Robins asks City Fans to be patient

Exactly what I was saying in my post yesterday -- "Realism at last" (why is it that one thread topic can completely change into another topic so quickly!)

    Realism at last !

At last I feel that we are are accepting that there is no "quick fix" to the damage that has been done over the past few years and we now have a Manager who tells us the truth - and it's so refreshing. Whilst winning games and getting promoted should always be a priority, Mark Robbins correctly...

    Last Night's Performance....

On last night's performance we could have beaten many Premiership teams outside the "big" top 6 or 7. Even the likes of QPR, Norwich, Saints etc get thumped by the big guns. I am as proud as punch of the lads -- they gave their best, kept going even when 4 - 5 - 6 down and heads never dropped...

... and still some moan !

We are NOT a Premiership Team Wedo not have players worth £35 million plus We do not have players on £100,000 a week We do not get 60,000 gates week in week out We do not have a team of International Stars -- some of whom play for England Considering all this, Sky Blues equiped themselves well...

    Let's be realistic and sensible...

Some supporters need to take the blinkers off and face facts. By all means hope for the play offs, but don't expect it. Accept this and Sky Blues will fly next seson ! Jimmy Hill never achieved promotion in his first season, did he ?

    Let's be realistic and sensible...

Cheers ! Lets build a solid base this season... accept this and fans will start believing again. I would respect Robins if he said that this season was about consolodation and sorting out the crap of previous years.

    Let's be realistic and sensible...

Far better to spend this season consolidating after years of miss- management and false optimism. If Sky Blues can consolidate this season and be prepared for a promotion push next season - this is far better than listening to false promises for this season. In the unlikely event of promotion...
