I'm in for a £1000 worth of shares?

Then from what has been made public of the second bid I would have serious concerns and probably not invest.

I'm in for a £1000 worth of shares?

I think you need to be cautious. What seems to be suggested here is that the offer to sell shares is made on an individual basis. If you are happy to gift the new owners(whoever they are) £1000 or whatever it is, get a certificate to frame and have no real say other than the right to maybe ask...

How is the club worth more

Couple of points. Firstly in 2008 Sisu bought the shares which in effect are all the assets the company owns less all liabilities the company has. There were millions more liabilities than assets so it is common to pay a pound or similar for rights to something worthless As I understand the...

Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

Said at the time as part of another forum be careful what you wish for with a hedge fund owner get no pleasure in being right about my caution. Still question who the investors are and will continue to do so until the EFL & FA change to and enforce robust rules

Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

Not saying we have to see all the details there are some good reasons that some details have to remain private. The details we do see create questions or should do. Why be scared or apathetic about asking, if we accept we have no influence we shouldn't be surprised or moan when we don't. Never...

Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

You are very likely right to do so Which is precisely why there must be fans asking questions. Not because in all likelihood Hoffman is not the better option but because the future of the club is so precarious the next owner has to be the right one not just a better one. Anyone reading this...

Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

Seem to be a lot of assumptions being made when in truth we know little about the people involved or the detail of the bid. These are really successful businessmen , possibly but away from football so are/were Sisu Richardson Robinson mcginnity dulieu even fisher. We don't know who these...

Open letter from the club to fans

Now no but they have changed the heading since it was first issued, following comments about the lack of clarity as to who wrote it

Open letter from the club to fans

Think it would have gone down better had fans and fans groups not had to point out such an act of contrition was expected and necessary A spontaneous act of taking responsibility rather than a measured and carefully worded one

Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

I think the offer is reasonably generous given there are few assets being acquired. Because they are bidding for the assets and football creditors it will address a small part of the ARVO liabilities owed but not the 28m in sbs&l. Also the adds on are not certain so that won't appeal to Sisu...

    Gilbert V Reid

Not sure Reid is doing himself any favours with the way and tone of his coverage of these bids. His reports seem overtly critical of everyone except SISU. He is at risk of burning a lot of bridges.

Open letter from the club to fans

Owners take you pick of some, all or none - TF (tries act like one so included) - JS - D Coleman - SISU - ARVO - ARVO investors - SBS&L - L Brody - Sconset - 5 private equity funds - the SISU Capital Private Equity Fund - some faceless investors linked to the Cayman Isles - SISU investors - A N...

Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

The thought that crosses my mind is how strong is the finance behind the bid? It seems to me that the increase in bid is based on asking the fans to stump up and offering something that in reality is very unlikely to happen. If the intention was to involve the fans why not do it from the off...

Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

The fans participation is interesting because I do not think that involves the trust at all. I would also suspect it would be a separate class of share with no real say or voting rights. Simply a different way to raise the funds to make the bid. After all this the fans deserve a proper say not...

Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

There is just as much if not more word play or twisting used by Reid in his articles etc Nick I don't see the challenge to that though
