I think SISU have moved away from challenging the share sale primarily to focus on the lease extension. If they can get the judge to focus on that then they can seek to apply the s123 conditions that apply to the disposal of land or leases over 7yrs in term. That takes in the bidding process...

Just to be clear on a date also. The Strutt & Parker valuation according to their valuation report in the prospectus was based on inspections in September 2014 and January 2015. It is an opinion of worth of the lease to Wasps not of its value to CCC/AEHC at October 2014. It includes different...

When the defence say on delay alone, it doesn't mean that's the only defence, it means that on that ground alone it should be refused but there are other grounds if the delay argument is not accepted For judicial reviews I believe there is a general rule of three months from the decision to...

    Our Checkatrade Group

not an easy group but in the scheme of things success in Checkatrade again this season is nowhere near the priority. Would be happy to fall at the first round of every cup (of course I hope we don't) if it meant certain promotion back to L1

British & Irish Lions 2017 Thread

This is an interesting article on what makes the All Blacks tick. Much/all of it could be applied to any sports team British & Irish Lions third Test: What makes the All Blacks great?

ricoh grows in value......according to wasps

Don't read any of these posts as defending Wasps, it isn't. Just trying to cut through opinion & conjecture It isn't really about the bottom line for the next Wasps accounts, the key things to consider are 1) the EBITDA figure 2) the profit after interest - important because going forward the...

Are WASPS owned by a hedge fund?

Well this is where the confirmation statement filed by Wasps Holdings can be found WASPS HOLDINGS LIMITED - Filing history (free information from Companies House) It states that Derek Richardson owns directly or indirectly 75% or more of Wasps Holdings. Not sure if that makes Moonstone a...

ricoh grows in value......according to wasps

What the new lease valuation provides is the possibility of more traditional forms of lending because of the equity the value provides, whilst retaining the possibility of utilising new bonds, AIM, or flotation. If bank loan taken out it could stretch repayment years and even lower interest...

ricoh grows in value......according to wasps

This doesnt make good reading as a CCFC supporter Wasps optimistic for English rugby average league gates up to 19530, ST's for 2017/18 up 27%. Total all games around 300,000 2016/17 If average ticket per head was £15 that is £4.5m plus F&B at £6.30 per head (from 2016 accounts) £1.89m plus...

Assuming that the P share remains at a value of 9m then stadium value would be 40m or less to be under 1.4 35m x 1.4 = 49m

under the covenants................. the value of the arena plus league share must be 1.4 x the debt ................. with the new valuation it is 1.97 Consolidated senior debt (excluding owner loans) must be less than the greater of £40m or 4 times Earnings before interest, tax...

ricoh grows in value......according to wasps

no not really. The only value that matters is the value of the shares on the day that the shares were sold. What the value of ACL or the lease is now has no real relevance to a decision in October 2014

ricoh grows in value......according to wasps

I think people lose sight of the fact that the short lease was included in the accounts 31/05/2014 at 18m Somehow it often gets portrayed that the uplift is 48m it isn't. It is significant yes and it relates to the lease not ACL shares. Similarly the value of a lease in one business ownership...

ricoh grows in value......according to wasps

Neither of the Wasps valuations should impact on the JR, although no doubt it will be argued that it should. The extension did not exist, there was an intention yes but no actual extended lease to purchase as part of the net worth of ACL in October 2014 (extension not signed until January 2015...

fair point, and even with an academy clubs do that also. The fans link is probably heightened because it is the only consistently successful part of the club. But it isn't what I was querying.

    Wasps merging with ACL

I would think that as the long lease has term where it reverts to the original if wasps become insolvent ACL will remain as it and ACL 2006 have the rights to the first lease. To transfer the lease requires the freeholder permission not impossible but I think unlikely. The original companies...

Whilst I fully support having a academy I think the referrals to Wilson and Madison funding it are over stating things. Surely you have to look at it as cost centres. The value of those players to the academy is their value at the point they signed their first team contract and left the academy...
