    The never ending court story

Rent at £1m plus match day and i think most people would be persuaded CCFC are being forced out and are best to walk away from it

    The never ending court story

yes ..... i was just keeping it to the fixed rental cost. Match day costs can be varied to some degree. You can argue the club has to pay match day costs where ever they are, the increase is the mark up or not that Wasps put on it. No they cant be ignored but yet to see anyone clearly define...

    The never ending court story

Commercial rents increase, it doesn't guarantee that you get more benefit to your business. Many tenancies or leases have a clause in them stating "an upwards only review". The argument that we should have more because we pay more, has merits for CCFC certainly but is likely to fall on deaf ears...

What date do CCFC have to confirm ground arrangements for 2019-20 by?

    The never ending court story

I dont think our owner really cares one way or another. Whatever division we are in i do not see them putting significant extra money in and i do see them sticking to the self sufficient business model. Just to make clear i am not at all against being self sufficient, was advocating it long...

    The never ending court story

I don't think Wasps, when it comes to it, will kick CCFC out. They will offer CCFC a one year deal on no better terms than they are now for things like F&B, but they will put the rent up significantly. Wasps have CCFC over a barrel in many senses because there is no real alternative that CCFC...

so on that basis the current overall trend is to 64 points from 46 matches then ? Which historically is well short of play off positions.

    Will Gary Hoffman...

As for Hoffman buying half the Ricoh ...... sorry i think that is pure fantasy. He doesnt have those sort of funds and any connection that did would be in control not him What does buy half the Ricoh mean ? Half the lease? Half of ACL? Half of ACL 2006? Half of Wasps Holdings? The lease is...

    Will Gary Hoffman...

I think most peoples take on investment would be putting in monies above and beyond the normal day to day running of the business. Not sure i see much evidence of that They have not done that in years. Last time a SISU entity put money in that we know about was a net amount of £387,557 in 2017...

no they are not angels by any stretch of the imagination i agree ...... as for league aspirations ................ it takes money and lots of it, just to stay in the Championship, going to be a long wait Nick

Match Day Thread - Sky Blue Sports & Leisure Limited and Others -v- Coventry City Council and Others

I would think the fact that the club is in a better financial position with the prospect of player sale incomes is likely to encourage Wasps not to be so sympathetic over the rent

Match Day Thread - Sky Blue Sports & Leisure Limited and Others -v- Coventry City Council and Others

it might be or........ Wasps are asking for too much the stadium sponsorship market is not as robust as it used to be and the figures not what they used to be...... the big deals are the exception not the rule does a troublesome tenant add to or hamper sponsorship? Is the whole complex reliant...

Match Day Thread - Sky Blue Sports & Leisure Limited and Others -v- Coventry City Council and Others

Yep it is. Others will have different ideas and they may well be right. but based on what we have been told.Rent around £100k plus F&B, at that time, it doesnt point to large numbers. It was stated that CCFC didnt make much out of F&B (15% of the Turnover = 15k according fisher) with a 50:50...

Match Day Thread - Sky Blue Sports & Leisure Limited and Others -v- Coventry City Council and Others

CCFC have nowhere to go fp how are they going to negotiate a deal in their favour and not in Wasps? I would think Wasps will now look for a more "commercial" deal, particularly looking forward to refinancing in 2022. If SISU & SBS&L & Otium continue court actions then i cant see anything...

Match Day Thread - Sky Blue Sports & Leisure Limited and Others -v- Coventry City Council and Others

I would assume that the parties had a good idea as to the result considering no one attended...... perhaps why there was a statement yesterday? Having gone the JR route will SISU now challenge on a civil action against Wasps, CCC and others to keep the pressure on?

    ticket sales

should imagine it had something to do with not having to make monthly payments of around £450k per month to clear £35m over 7 years even at a low 2.5% interest rate. To match the current interest payment alone even getting a mortgage at 2.5% would take 18 years to repay.............. and when...
