    UEFA EURO 2024

To be fair, you’ve got: France 2018 Portugal 2016 Spain 2012 (yes, I know they turned it on in the final) Spain 2010 Italy 2006 Greece 2004 This period of tournaments have been dominated by defensive play. Germany 2014 I wouldn’t call attacking either, but more balance to their play. Spain...

    UEFA EURO 2024

It’s the type of game where, if we had Kane dropping deep and runners going beyond him (I’m thinking more Saka and Gordon as opposed to Foden and Bellingham) there’s going to be opportunities. Proper traditional counter-attacking play. Of course, we’ll see exactly the same as we’ve seen in...

    UEFA EURO 2024

May be wrong on this, but Italy played attacking football at Euro 2020 and won, Argentina played attacking football at World Cup 2022 and won, Spain look easily capable of winning this tournament whilst playing attacking football. Do we have to accept that defensive football at international...

Would imagine the pitch invader wanted a pic with Mbappe. Happened to Ronaldo a couple of times this tournament. Really don’t get it.

    HMP Wandsworth video

Don’t think non-prosecution is the angle they’re coming at, so can’t see it being comparable to the shoplifting stuff.

Too ‘Bond villain’ for my liking. Same with Jim Ratcliffe. Both definitely have volcano lairs.

Looks like Private Eye picked up on this last week and managed to speak to him. The photo is AI generated but “because he did not have a photo of him in a turquoise tie”.

    Summer transfer window 2024

Do we desperately need a CM? We have Sheaf, Eccles, Torp, Rudoni, Allen and then Palmer if we only played 2 of those noted. Don’t get me wrong, I want one and think we’ll bring one in, but we’re not exactly in a ‘bare bones’ situation.

    UEFA EURO 2024

It makes it all the more annoying we didn’t go out to beat Denmark as we could have given him, Bellingham a night off.

Although the increased turnout in the 2nd round suggests to me there’s a general apathy but a more fervent rejection of far right politics. Basically more have been energised after the result of the first round of voting.

Well, exit polls suggesting the National Rally in France now languishing in 3rd place after the 2nd round of voting.

Tricky one. Will depend on the exact number of voters affected as the winning margin was 2610. If it’s fewer than that then, to be honest, can they not just retrospectively vote as it won’t impact the end result.

Gallagher Retail Park. Fucking nuke the place. Doesn’t help that I’ve got one of those niggly hangovers.

Almost as silly as making a snap judgement on their performance in government after 48 hours! Besides, setting the Rwanda stuff aside, I would expect a lot of their early stuff is being well-received by the general public.

    UEFA EURO 2024

I’ll admit I didn’t watch any of the post-match coverage as we had people round. Going to keep banging the “we played the same system” drum as I think this is why people have been fooled into thinking that performance was better. People think we made changes and it’s becoming the emperor’s new...
