I think you mean "misuse". Oh, and maybe you can explain what exactly was wrong with Otis' post?

    Question for PWKH

I'm not sure I follow your logic there. ACL have the perfect remedy for getting their money (and a claim for the rent for the rest of CCFC's rental period). Serve the winding up order. Even if Arvo are the biggest creditor at the moment, ACL would have an arguable case for being the biggest...

    Question for PWKH

Any "feasible" move is damned hard to find. Nene Park, Hinckley and the Butts all have distinct and very real problems. The major one, however, is this: if we are locked out of the Ricoh, the club would have no say in where it played, nor for how long. The FL would step in and tell the club...

    Waggot and SBITC

I think you're right, but I also think the Council are determined not to let SISU get their hands on it.

    7 more sleeps

ACL have to serve the winding up order on the club, which they can do at any time. It's not operative until it's published, and then it has to go through the courts. Nothing serious has to happen for about two months.

    3rd option re: Goldie

The only way McGoldrick will sign is if Ms Seppala decides it's worth a punt to get promotion. But she seems to me like the sort of person who would see it as throwing good (ie her) monhey after bad (her investors).

I thought that was what has been offered. Or rather, a rent based on both the division and the gate, starting at £400k and going up in stages as crowds increase and we get promotion.

    Waggot and SBITC

Agreed, and as someone else who's been involved in negotiations, I know that you don't get an agreement unless both parties are prepared to compromise. So far, the club haven't moved from their position of £175,000 a year, supposedly based on the average Div.1 rent. I notice no-one at the club...

    Waggot and SBITC

You won't get the club properly involved in the community until the fans have real influence, and that means owning a chunk of the club, and a seat on the board.

    Moussa

I rather think the Ferrari garage might be inclined to say, "Show us the colour of your money, sunshine. Then we can talk about delivery."

Next team selection for the game against Preston

Moussa tweaked a hamstring apparently, so if he doesn't play, it won't be because of how he's playing. But you're right, Baker will be back in for Barton, unless Moussa isn't fit.

    Put up or shut up.

Likely scenario? Agree a deal with ACL for the rent, above their magical £175k, tell us they can't afford McGoldrick because of that, and blame ACL/Council/Higgs Charity for it. The truth of the matter? Not replacing one or two loanees, plus the sale of, say, O'Donovan, or McDonald, and...

    We all bicker.

Give the man a three year contract and guarantee he won't be sacked (for footballing reasons) in that time. Or does he already have a 3 yr contract?

    Robins new striker search

The general assumption, and the premise of this thread, is that DMG will not sign; Adams is due to return so you can't assume he'll be here; and I never said anything about Bailey (or any other midfielder).

    Robins new striker search

You're suggesting we'll get rid of the only left back we've got once Adams returns (Jan), two of the three strikers we'll have if we lose McGoldrick and Ball returns. But we don't get anyone in 'till the summer. Am I right, or have I misunderstood your master plan?

Port Vale "[We'll] be prepared to do a ground share [with City]"

I suppose SISU would want to buy the Ricoh for that, since it's "the average price for a League 1 stadium".

    Hinckley Confirm Coventry Discussions

What? In order to seat our season-ticket holders? And the number of away fans they're obliged to seat? Not a chance. With the cost of hiring temp. stands, the could pay the rent ACL have offered them!

Are we, the fans being too nice about all this ?

Err... the protests against the Glazers ended up with AFC of Manchester, a fan-owned club (now doing quite well I believe), and didn't Mcleish get the push? The Lennon thing was not about the football, it was all down to religious prejudice.
