Apart from going on the one or two websites and venting our spleens regards the precarious position we, the football club seem to be in over this rent debacle. I can't help thinking if this was going on at certain clubs the fans would be far more volatile towards those making the big decisions. Last week I listened to Tim Fisher being interviewed by the early morning presenter Shane ? on CWR who i think had Fisher drawing deep breathes over things and i also think the presenter guy backed off a bit and could have really nailed him. Results are probably pacifying the fans at the moment but will that last ? If we lose McGoldrick and if we sell the likes of Christie and one or two others and we are still paddling around and getting nowhere will the fans turn on the owners in the way fans do.

Err... the protests against the Glazers ended up with AFC of Manchester, a fan-owned club (now doing quite well I believe), and didn't Mcleish get the push? The Lennon thing was not about the football, it was all down to religious prejudice.

FC United of Manchester have been stuck in the Northern Premier league for about 3 seasons and fan numbers are dwindling. That said I half expect they will make an appearance at the top end of non-league bottom end of football league at some point in the near future.

Why do all the united fans I know that still live in Manchester still support united and go to their games then? Probably because that's the club they've been brought up supporting. Fair enough if United had gone out of business and FC United had THEN been set up, but changing an allegiance (which it is) halfway through a lifetime... I couldn't do it.

McLeish got the push because he was quite obviously dogsh*t and nearly led Villa to relegation! Comparing us to these teams is also ridiculous. Even Blackburn couldn't get rid of Steve Kean for nearly 2 seasons with some of the most volatile protesting in a ground I've seen.

Exactly. I'd love for our club to be on a level footing financially, have none of these off-field problems and be run by straight edged, in it for the love of the game owners. But we're not, and the thing we have to concentrate on now is helping the team to try and get out of this league. That's something we CAN do. Protesting might just f*ck it all up.
