A quango is FUNDED by a government. ACL is not. It's a properly constituted commercial organisation. It posts its accounts with Companies House. OSB has oreads posted a commentary on them. Unlike CCFC, who haven't.

May be wrong, but I don't think that particular investment fund is the one holding the shares in CCFC . SISU have several investment funds, the club is owned by two of the if I remember rightly - but not that one.

It's called "restructuring debt" and all sensible businesses do it. Why would a company that was making a (growing) profit need bailing out?

Except ACL isn't funded by anyone. It's a company that trades, just like CCFC. The difference is, ACL makes a profit.
