    Wasps Sub Forum

There was a report done about 15 yrs ago on sporting event revenues and football had the lowest per spectator. Horse racing (excluding betting) was the highest and Rugby was also very high. Im guessing at Gloucester the spend per fan is very high.

Back in court - July 7

Correct, there is no magic bullet where the stadium ownership is reversed. The best SISU can hope to achieve is some material contract breach that would give them a route to finacial recourse against CCC.

    SISU win at court...

I am, my point is no matter what, its a crap result. SISU get rich, local tax payers get poor, CCC cut more services to pay compensation. Wasps stay at Ricoh. CCFC dont get new stadium. There is no happy ending in SISU latest legal action

    SISU win at court...

Imagine the totally improbable conclusion and SISU win at court. There will be no magic reversal of the Ricoh sale, it will remain with WASPS. The only alternative is then compensation, Just who do you think will pay that. The council tax payers of Coventry. Where will the money go...

That is how to look after fans

Spot on, to generate and retain crowds needs effort. SISU 0/10 for effort, imagination and vision. SISU 10/10 for ability to "Lawyer up"

Club’s owners “not prepared to take on the risk” of sharing the Ricoh

I think the original poster hit it on the head, but missed one massive point. Why on earth would Wasps get involved with SISU. It would be like marrying a crack whore prostitute who beat her children and then complaining she took drugs, cheated on her and was orrible to the kids. SISU have...

    hell will freeze over...

Its astonishing the contrast between how the 2 companies are promoting themselves. 1 sits an sulks and threatens to sue everyone into bankruptcy, the other is genuinely working hard at putting on entertaining events. How much effort do SISU/CCFC put into marketing and event management?

Latest Sisu legal challenge put on hold

It leaves WASPS as owners of the stadium. There is not going to be some magic performed, the sale won't be reversed, they won't be forced to vacate. The sale was concluded legally. What may happen is SISU win damages from CCC...

Wasps "very confident" in Ricoh Arena business

How about being both. I was a season ticket holder years ago before I moved away from the area. Came back, never got a season ticket but been to about 30% of home games in the last few years. I have however always been a Rugby fan, spent many a happy time at Tigers, Saints, Rugby, Cov and...

Where is WAGGOTT, FISHER & SEPPALA?

Never going to happen, the sale was made. no legal wrangling is going to change it. There is not going to be any Columbo moment in the court room when the judge says, well done you were right, WASPS dont own it you do...

Wasps "very confident" in Ricoh Arena business

How about being happy that our landlord will have funds to invest back into the ground. The new pitch in the summer will be fantastic and guess what it wont cost us a penny... Apparently food and drink sales per customer are twice as high at a Rugby match, so with the complaints so far it will...

Council admits Ricoh Arena was not sustainable without CCFC

The American model for building City owned exhibition facilities is to fund it with a bond issue that is then paid back with local City lodging tax i.e. $1 dollar per room per night and also increased food & bev sales from out of city visitors, which means local jobs are created. in the UK, we...
