    Those hoping for WASPs demise

The article says no discount on the loan amount (principle) however, no more interest. There is probably a penalty clause, but it certainly won't be pay the full interest

    Those hoping for WASPs demise

I'm an occasional CCFC fan and I happen to love Rugby as well, so my point of view may be not as CCFC biased. If I was a life long CCFC fan, I would be devastated about losing the Ricoh, but I think I wouldn't lay the blame at Higgs, CCC or Wasps. I would ask why SISU never made a real attempt...

    Those hoping for WASPs demise

But which local team should they help, Earlsdon Royal Oak or Canley sports and social? CCFC are a privately owned for profit company, they are big boys and responsible for their own future like all business, it's up to them to build a successful business and turn a profit.

all the ticket income will go to the event organiser which is some company based in Southampton. ACL get a rent for the tenancy of the hall, exhibitor services such as electric, data etc and F&B

    When will Sisu go?

I guess chances of promotion/relegation would be a huge weighting factor in terms of future losses/profits

    Ricoh after this season?

I can't see any reason why wasps can't maintain 15k+ crowds, they are a premiership side in a strong rugby catchment area. interestingly I found out this week that bar spend at a wasps games is nearly 9 times higher than ccfc and as a result supply contracts are being renegotiated in favour of...

    Ricoh after this season?

Short answer, probably. long answer is probably, but as they are already a primary wasps sponsor are they going to commit more to just one club/venue? how will they recent new factory announcement effect them, is that not the best free local branding available? what is the target market for...

Anyone go to the Wasps game today?

Or better still, not pay the rent, move out and take your landlord to court whilst all the while saying "we don't need your stinking stadium, we build our own" ["said in sleezy voice"]

Anyone go to the Wasps game today?

Kicked us out of their dressing room. Having a monk on about it doesn't change it. Perhaps TF instead of behaving like a spoilt child who lost his toys to the big boys, should now grow up and learn to play nicely with others...

    Papering the crowd?

Oooo, you naughty boy Perhaps you can get a combined CCFC and WASPS season ticket, now that would be cool. Just think how much more time I can spend watching sport and avoiding the wife...

    Fisher on new stadium

but really what % of Coventry residents give a poo. 30k bums on seats at The Ricoh is less than 10% of the Coventry population. Community engagement isn't going to increase bums on seats unless the product on the pitch is exciting.

    Fisher on new stadium

Manchester has 2 football clubs both very well supported. Coventry is a growing city with a transient population due to the 2 universities. These days it is less about local and more about national. This year wasps are a london team moved North. Next year they are a Midlands team with...

    Fisher on new stadium

I find it odd we seem to have a " pick one or the other" why can't we be glad to have both wasps and CCFC. It is possible to enjoy both sports, I played quite high level Rugby until I was badly injured at 27 (got paid £75 a game in 1995), but I also love footy as a supporter but not a player...
