Live Sky Game vs Sheffield UTD

Not sure what the law states regarding a crowd of people walking across a road and preventing traffic getting through, but it might be interesting if the teams / refs / etc. were unable to reach the stadium on time.

Is the Football League now complicit ?

I *think* we are saying the same thing - but I'm sitting here with a horrible cold so I wouldn't put money on that ....

Is the Football League now complicit ?

Frankly I cringe when I see the comments CCC and ACL make ... they should keep to stating that it is beneficial to the City to have CCFC play in Cov (from CCC) and that they are an independent business that is being held to ransom by one tenant (from ACL). However, you have to remember that...

    ACL tactics

I tend to agree. Realistically as Sisu underinvest and City slide down the leagues, it a) reduces the price anyone would be willing to buy the club for, and b) makes it more likely that another Cov team would start up and provide direct competition. The only way Sisu get anything reasonable...

    Here comes the crunch!

I personally think it's the other way around. I'm not saying ACL is in an especially strong position, but they have options whereas Sisu have pretty much been forced / forced themselves into a corner of : 1) hoping fans will go to Northampton (they won't in enough numbers) 2) hoping they can...

Your Choice, Take 15 Point Deduction or ACL Sign CVA?

I believe so .... but then ACL have a time limit on what they can and can't do (28 days). Once it's agreed, then Otium are essentially going to move forward as owners with the blessing of the FL .... if ACL change their mind, I can't see the FL reversing their ground decision, voiding results...

    If ACL forced the liquidation..

This is what I've been thinking for some while now. My train of thought is as follows: ACL will reject the CVA (for several reasons). Sisu will not accept any other offer and will Ltd will be liquidated. Any player contracts in Holdings effectively become void (would there be any legal...

    Why Otium?

More likely to be a mixture of opium and scrotum (because this is all a load of bollocks). In my head I refer to them as Scrotium.

    Liquidation ?

Yeah, I'm not really sure how the administrator can sell assets when he is trying to keep Ltd as a going concern. Without the GS, they have no means to generate any revenue .... my guess is that ACL are looking into whether they can legally challenge this. If ACL block the CVA and PA were to...

What was your first ever City game?

Birmingham at home, apparently on 8/5/82. We lost 1-0, Mick Harford scored right in front of us in the last minute I think, don't recall much else of the game. I remember some fighting as we were walking up to HR though, was pretty scary for a 10 year old.

The Lease situation - what is the law ?

Interesting information (as usual, thanks OSB), but I can't see that any of it really matters. I would think that a) ACL could cancel the lease for breach of contract, and b) Sisu already feel the lease terms are too onerous so wouldn't want CCFCH to take it over.

Skyblues Trust email received this afternoon

ACL is a business in it's own right, and their goal is to run the Ricoh for profit rather than subsidise a tenant that doesn't want to pay the rent. Neither the council or the Higgs Trust are in business to support badly-managed football clubs. It doesn't matter how much some people may care...

    New Ricoh deal

I don't see how they can ask the council for damages over an agreement they had with the Higgs Trust. AFAIK the judicial review is solely to determine whether the council acted within their rights to buy the share. Even if the council aren't allowed to go ahead with the transaction, I'd...
