Come on guys - You don't have to be a brain scientist

    a) legal decisions are based on the law, not on the possible consequences b) IF Sisu won, and IF that resulted in the loan having to be repaid, and IF ACL couldn't get another loan, and IF Sisu were the highest bidder for ACL then they might get the rights to OPERATE the Ricoh. That's a lot...

    Les's Results

Absolutely correct .... now they just need to show us some evidence that they are trying. That's all I need to give them my backing (albeit I will still hold them almost entirely to blame for the current mess).

    Les's Results

I don't want to sell my house - should I go around offering it to people for a low price? ACL/CCC clearly don't want to sell up, should they go around offering to Sisu (or anyone else) at a low price? In both cases the clear answer is no - if Sisu want the freehold they should make an offer...

    seen this?

Yes. Sisu themselves stated that the club was not financially viable going forward, given the rent levels (even reduced) and other factors. They backed that up by putting it into administration. Why *wouldn't* they be looking for new owners? Doesn't mean that Sisu were obligated to sell to them.

    A few thoughts

I think packing out away grounds really shows that the fans are there and ready to go .... Sky mentioned the numbers that went / were going to one of the away games, maybe Wolves but I don't recall. The Port Vale numbers show it even more clearly. The consensus seems to be that a decent team...

    Crowd today

So we should do whatever Sisu ask then? Good plan.

Shot yourself in the foot, haven't you SISU

Be that as it may, they would still be in Northampton. So Sisu have still screwed it up for everyone bar NTFC, including themselves.

    How will the stalemate break

If ACL are a viable business as things stand, and capable of making annual profits, then I don't see any change regarding the Ricoh unless someone makes a reasonable offer. I think they probably are marginally profitable, and certainly could be more so ... Sisu appear to believe the same or...

    Pointless 10 point deduction?

I disagree - fans, Cov residents, businesses around the Ricoh, the manager and team, etc. etc. etc. I don't see that it makes any difference. Sisu hold all the cards, they have the only vote on whether the team returns to Cov and where it plays if so. If they build a new stadium as they are...

    Coventry V Sheffield United

I'd go with balloons - 10's of thousands of them all over the pitch, wouldn't the ref have to stop the game to get them removed?

Forth coming problem for the Football League

I'm not sure it's true in this case, the other clubs will make it a big deal if CCFC are allowed to be an exception to this rule as it would directly affect them (and presumably CCFC results and league position). I'm sure Sisu will push the limits though.

One way, you have to sign over the deeds to your house for the return trip.

Stuart Linnell is a Muppet !!!

Half the time I sympathise with him .... some of the callers have the conversational skills of a loaf of bread. I didn't listen to the broadcast, but I've always thought he is more patient with those that are able to give reasoned thoughts and arguments as opposed to stating "facts" that they...

    The time has come

Well the current contract has 40+ years, and it didn't stop them from attempting to break it. As of right now, they STILL have that contract. And the club shop, and the hospitality, and probably a few other things too. The onus is certainly on ACL to find another tenant, or find another...

    Leon available for transfer

Personally I feel that they had the right intentions initially .... then found that it wasn't as easy as they had hoped to get promoted, then found that it was pretty expensive just to stay where they were, then found that cutting expenditure *does* have an effect on team performance, then...

Les Reid interviewing Greg Clark today

I don't believe this is true. The administrator sold the assets of Ltd to Otium, but this did not include the GS (as it is not an asset that is owned by any club). The FL transferred the share at their own discretion (much like everything else they do it seems).

Coventry attendance at Sixfields ‘to be smallest in league history’

    What did ACL acheive exactly?

Best interest of all? ACL are obliged to act in the best interests of their owners, not the best interests of tenants that don't want to pay their bills. I believe that they do want the club in Coventry, but not at any cost to themselves - they still have to run as a going concern. Signing...

Just thought I'd ask a quiz question

I imagine the answer would something along the lines of "FU .... we have just bailed you out by paying for the stadium which you couldn't afford, and now you want us to subsidise you as well?"
