Agreed Otis -- common sense must now prevail. Even a short term agreement allowing the dust to settle and for BOTH sides to reach a deal acceptable to both made over a period of time. I genuinely believe SISU would sell if a deal was in place.
I have emailed ACL urging them to do a deal with SISU - pointing out their published concerns for us, the supporters and the 13,000 plus petition ! Anyone want to do the same ?
Should we petition ACL now to do a deal with SISU that will keep CCFC Ltd at the Ricoh ?
Makes sense to me that if there is a deal, and CCFC Ltd stays at the Ricoh, the more likely it is that SISU will sell.
Just a thought,not an opinion.
I certainly feel the legality of this should be questioned... not just because that Otium bid the most but a decision based on accounts "which are a mess " (Tim Fisher's own words). There are lots of unanswered questions relating to the company's accounts which SHOULD have, in my opinion, be...
The Football League are likely to ratify the Administrator's decision and give SISU the go ahead. If they do this, what can we do next ?
1. Make every effort (don't know how!) to get ACL and SISU to agree a deal to keep CCFC Ltd at the Ricoh ? Any suggestions how we might bring this about ...
Personally, I haven't a clue what ACL might do. However, I don't think for one moment ACL will want "the bowl" which is the pitch and stands to become a white elephant. ACL does need an income from a football club as well.
I believe it would now be in ACL's best interests to tell the Football...
According to CWR, ACL has not yet given up. I understand they are contacting the Football League and taking advice.
We shouldn't give up either.
Any ideas what ACL might now do ?
Should ACL and the Council accept we are stuck with SISU I suggest they get their backsides into gear and do a deal with SISU for next season or longer to play at the Ricoh. This would give time for the dust to settle and either allow time for further long term negotiations or for another party...
Living in the Cotwolds my nearest team is Cheltenham Town - might go a watch them for a few seasons. Next nearest is Forest Green Rovers in the Conference. Got to be better than giving money to SISU
The Football League still has the final say... we could now make every effort to persuade them NOT to approve SISU - up to us. Is it worth the effort ?
Now is the time to continue bombarding the Football League again with our views. I know many letters, emails etc have been previously sent, but don't let this matter rest ! [email protected]
Is anyone able to put OSB's questions onto a Word document and send it to [email protected] for them to include the questions in the letter to Joy Seppala ? I don't know how to put onto Word (I'm a thick OAP after all!)
I was at the forum last night and it is quite clear to me that SISU is pressing ahead of its plans regardless of public opinion. Even the most probing questions would be dismissed... SISU has little, or no, respect for the clubs supporters (in my opinion). SISU as expected are looking at this...
Just got back -- waste of time going. It's quite obvious SISU don't give a monkey's bum about what we supporters want. They are going to carry on regardless. I fear the worst.. SISU will be the preferred bidder and carry on regardless.
It's the last forum and our last chance to collectively tell SISU exactly what we think "en bloc" -- over 200 people will be there -- we've heard what SISU think, now lets tell them what WE think ! ?
