Disgraceful (8 Viewers)

I’ve just donated on the Bradley Lowery Foundation just giving page. It’s heartening to see the number of City fans who have been donating over the last few days. Something positive coming from an act of idiocy. It started me thinking (and apologies if this has been mentioned already) that as a fan base, it would be good to show our appreciation of Bradley and his family, who show such dignity. At our next home game, on 6 minutes could we break into applause for a minute to reflect our collective view of a poor little boy who died to soon? Don’t know what people think?
Yep why dont we gift them the three points as well and all donate to the Sunderland forum where they have shown so much respect and sympathy to us in the past. We could even knock down the Jimmy Hill statue as a mark of respect to them.
Why didnt you and everyone else donate to the Bradley charity before this if you feel so guilty ?

The people who have jumped on this kid have no idea what they created for his family, they didn't think of the aftermath, did they. Adults who should of known better will not face any consequence of what the families are now going to have to go through. But will quite happily judge a 15 year old boy who basically has done the same in the sense he didn't think.

Bradleys family didn't ask for this or i cant imagine they want us doing anything, donating to the foundation is a great thing and the family will know who has donated.

And FFS this has now made ne agree with Gren, which in my life i never thought i would. lol

no

Why do you think it’s right the public should know? The reality is most of those who are angry couldn’t give a fuck about the child and would never have given a thought about him until now. It’s an excuse for mob rage.
Did you read my post? I said I wonder rid the police would act if no public demand to act. It's just a question

You would rather troll and look for an argument than discuss which shows you give no fucks about Bradley.

Just speaking about this with a lad at work who has a kid in the same class as the lad who showed the photo.

Apparrently there was a special assembly on Monday with the police in attendance asking them not to share any info about him or the school on social media.

It seems he's been excluded from school and his family had to move from their home due to death threats.

I'm not excusing his actions and happy for whatever the club and authorities deem appropriate, but you really have to wonder at the mentality of someone who's threatening to kill over something like this. I'm not advocating it or suggesting it's trivial, I could even understand if it was Bradley's family (who have held themselves to a higher standard than I could ever imagine), but I'd be almost certain those who are threatening will have done things as bad if not worse.
A death threat is bad enough, threatening to kill a 14/15yo is a bit OTT!

The people who filmed it and stuck it on social media “give no fucks about Bradley”

Christ. Just no. I’ve given some money to a dog charity this week as one of my friends dog has died. He was 13 - let’s have a minutes applause for Oscar.
From the few posts replying to mine it would appear that people don’t agree with my suggestion, which is fine, I was asking for opinions after all. But you equating Bradley’s death with the death of a dog is crass (and I speak as someone who is suffering from losing his own dog recently). Very silly post from you.

What's that got to do with my post?

You had no objection if people knew who he was and should have “at least some of his life@ ruined. Have a look at yourself not me.

No it isn’t as I didn’t know the child and I value animal like as much as human life

Didn’t realise there was a foundation until this happened which is why I and others, I guess, have donated now, and not out of guilt, but out of respect for the Lowery family. Don’t mind you disagreeing with me in the slightest, but your reply was rather silly.

I stand by my first post. I said he needs to have his life ruined a little bit so that he learns a lesson from all this. Key is a LITTLE BIT. It was inevitable and it's happened. At no point have I been been baying for his blood nor have I asked for his identity to be leaked I just said it was not gonna be hard for people to find it out. and I've also said time for people to move on more than once. Death threats are disgusting but once again we all knew it would happen. It's the world we live in now and he's gonna learn that the hard way unfortunately

You carry on getting angry at people donating money to a charity though whilst acting like you are a good person

How could it be ruined a little bit if no one knew who he was. It’s the same with the naming on the CCTV in Manchester. It’s wrong

And what he did was wrong too. This is the world we live in . It's not something new. Cameras are everywhere.

New age of technology but Dark age of humanity

He’s no worse than some bloke who dressed as Jimmy Saville in fancy dress

Saw at the weekend a couple were bemoaned for going as Fred and Rose, although I found it quite funny. Personal favourite fancy dress I've seen in recent times was someone basically looking like a plasterers radio and an Eileen name badge. Not exactly PC either, but did make me chuckle.

Not exactly original but my mate went full Saville at the weekend.

I found the pig mask more sinister.

This is of absolutely no surprise. Look at some of the antics from some on this thread (and others when low level stupidity is involved). It was never about being a 'good person' or feeling sorry for the family. It will be the same kind of people conducting mob behaviour who went into overdrive on the fake compassion, as it so often is.

The kid is still a cretin, but death threats? FFS.

Why is it always what aboutism with you.

One of our fans mocked a 5 year old boy who died with cancer. The fact you think thats funny is disgusting

I don’t think it’s funny? Where have I said it is?

Completely trivialising the argument by bringing in things that are not relevant at all.

Cant just say, the kid did wrong, and end it. Always got to be an argument. you seem to enjoy mockery of minors suffering, same way you laughed about children dying in Ukraine and Palestine. Very strange moral compass.

That’s not laughing at him that’s referencing the Sunderland fans singing about Hill in a box. Our fans stood on the pitch screaming “kill kill kill Jimmy Hill”

You seem a bit confused on that one

who cares about jimmy hill ffs. youve had a drink tonight clearly and are talking nonsense.

just stop before you embarass yourself more mocking the death of a young lad

Jimmy hill is irrelevant to the argument. You are really making a fool of yourself

A lot of the argument centred around Sunderland’s disgusting attitude towards a man who was a massive name at this club. Let’s see how many think it’s me who’s making a fool of themselves.

It centred around you thinking it wasnt a big deal a young child who died of cancer being mocked. Consistent with your mockery of ukranian and palestinian children that have been murdered.
