I think 5 nil every week qualifies as more than extreme trouble. 😂
 
FL has delivered an unbelievable 2 years and I want him to succeed as much as anybody.

The issue is how long can we continue to put in such performances and DK just accept it. After the international break we have 4 games in October, 3 of those against teams currently in the bottom half. Struggle in those then I can see us being adrift.

DK has shown he can make unpopular decisions before. He owns the club and I cant see him tolerating mediocrity. If we go down FL wont stay around so if DK is serious about being a PL club he may have to make a decision to give us the best chance of doing so.

Obviously, the best way forward is to pick up a minimum 9 points from the next 5 games. Who's confident of that.....
 
I think it's possible that Wednesday's cup game couldn't have come at a better time for us. Playing against a Premier league team in as much trouble as us, at home with nothing much riding on the result. Win this comfortably and our confidence should start to come back. Obviously it will work the other way if we lose though, but at least it will be another game under our belt, and a chance to put yesterday's game behind us with less pressure on the result.
 
Presumably Doug is expecting to turn a profit on at least some of the new lads sat on the bench yesterday. If they don’t get in the team sooner rather than later he’d be lucky to get his money back on relegation. Much more of that and it will play into his mind if coupled with the hypothetical 10 losses in a row. Wouldn’t put it past him, but in reality we want FL at the helm to go again if/when the worst happens.

Agree and hopefully all new signings not suspended for idiocy play well and force their way in.

Sorry, but there is no chance Lampard stays if we go down.

I want to see us fight and scrap for our PL lives. 23.5 years of absolute crap to go out with a whimper is not acceptable. No way DK will, or the fans should, stand for that in my view.
 
The club record is 9 consecutive losses. I imagine if we're getting close to that Doug will be considering his options.
 
He won’t be sacked but I imagine there would be some pretty stern conversations if he hasn’t integrated the new signings with 10 games gone.

By that point we should be seeing the team made up of our expensive signings not our championship players.

If it’s the case they’re simply pony then Frank will say that and Austin will go.
 
You have to give Lampard his contract for me. We’ve seen how damaging the merry go round years can be. In the mid 80’s we had a manager per season and it was totally counter productive. Lampard has worked miracles with the squad. It would be absolute insanity to even consider getting rid because we haven’t conquered the prem.

No chance. DK has referenced on many ocassions the collective nature of the recruitment between himself, DA and FL. Lampard's job is literally to win football matches - he would go, not DA.
 
Wait until we’ve got all the players we’ve signed available plus wright to come back and judge him where we are after 15 games…in the last 3 games the oppo’s keeper has got MOM ?

Not entertaining it, but what would be more damaging to Lampards future? To jump or be pushed?

Always considered us as his recovery project.

Heckingbottom hasn’t got sacked based on 6 losses from 7 though has he. If you think that you are deluded. You have to bolt on the whole of last season to this seasons form to see why he has been sacked.
 
The whole blame game thing is random.

It was like how it was Dr Claire's fault when Robins was doing poorly.

I'm not saying sack Lampard at all but there's people saying "sack the people who look after the budget" when none of the big money players have really had a chance (apart from Rushworth).

Taiwo went in, instant improvement on Simms. Amenda is an improvement on Lati and Pinnock is an improvement on Kitching.

The question is, if the big money players never get to play, where's the issue?

Don’t agree at all. Lampard has shown what he can do with the right players at his disposal.

I don't think Frank Lampard will be sacked, but if I was Doug King I would certainly be asking questions regarding playing the new players I've spent a small fortune on.
It's clear to most of the fanbase that several of those he's picking regularly aren't up to the Premier League standard.
 
The clock is ticking and Doug will act this international break. Let’s hope it’s Dean Austin that’s marched out first

Yes but is it Kings fault ?
If what we hear about refusing to pay the going rate of wages for the premier league.
Maybe he needs to keep his finger pointing to himself.

im just saying it sparked my curiosity in losing 6/7, and asked if frank lost 6/7 what would the situationbe, and also, how many losses would it be likely he be sacked

and to others, this isnt me asking him to be sacked, its the internal/external pressures of the situation.

You don't necessarily have had to play at the top level to be a success at international level. Don't think the current Argentina manager even managed at club level but look at his record. Moanio and Wenger never played at the top level in fact I don't think Moanio was even a professional player ?
