Obviously match days are a lot more fun when we're scoring for fun and top of the league but ignoring what's on the pitch does anyone else feel like pretty much everything to do with a match day has gone downhill?

You get to the ground to huge fucking queues that don't move because nobody seems able to work the digital ticketing system, or there's a major problem with it, not sure which but it shouldn't take that long to get people in.

The f&b seems to have managed the impossible and got worse. Prices have gone up, the selection has got worse. And forget getting anything at half time unless you want to miss 15 minutes of the game, which to be fair would have been a plus today.

You get to your seat and the pre-match build up just doesn't seem to generate anything but apathy. We used to at least attempt to play stuff that would get the crowd going, even if it didn't always work, but now it's just bland background noise.

They've managed to do the near impossible and fuck up WLADITT by insisting on going with two choruses which confuses everyone every game.

During the game there's a shit, delayed, video feed of the match you're sat there watching but every time you look up for a replay they change it to a fucking advert.

All the birthdays and messages at half time have gone, replaced with adverts. No kick it for a ticket, as shit as it was at least it was something. No local bands being played at half time anymore.

The whole thing feels like you could be at any ground in the country.

100% agreement from me. The beginning to end experience at the CBS has taken a dramatic plunge even compared to a few months ago at the end of last season. Prices have skyrocketed, choice has lessened, queues everywhere, quality down the tube. The audio visual has no kind of personality, not a clue why we so unceremoniously binned our dedicated long-term team to replace them with fuck all. Them somehow thinking that Rudoni was sent off sums it up

Whole place has had a weird vibe so far this season. Would have thought it would be bouncing with us finally being back in the Prem but it’s been very subdued. Think the club have got a lot of the off field stuff really badly wrong in the last few months.

Everything has been outsourced. The commercial side has been badly managed since promotion, flogging a dead horse with the we are back shirts no one was interested in, not expecting ground breaking stuff, mugs with the team photo lifting the trophy, t shirts with champions on, flags etc.

Pre match song selection is awful and much better last season. It's a copy and paste job from Arsenal, be interesting to see what other clubs they manage and how their pre match look.

The music before the game is killing the atmosphere. The volume drowns out the fans . Certainly Singers Corner and the South Stand. Everything about that PA is annoying. Including the guy that shouts down the mic.

Any chance the fans can be heard? Doug et al say how loud the fans are.

They don’t listen to the LOUD shit we have to.

WLADITT is ruined because the intro is TOO LOUD.

Repeating it is KILLING it.

Ok. We are not the best choir in the world but for heavens sake!

The singing at the end of the match shows what we’re missing because the MUSIC is being controlled by a monkey.

Will they do anything about it?

Have to agree. Previously, the atmosphere seemed to build in the ground before kick off. Play list of songs that got people singing, sky blue song then WLADITT. Not sure if I missed it, but all seemed to be gone yesterday other than WLADITT.

Everything just feels a bit off at the moment like our character is being replaced with generic premier league club.

The cutting of the pre-match playlist covering the terrace songs is such a bewilderingly poor decision that must have been made by some suit with no knowledge of the club. Reminds me of that Sunderland Til I Die clip of the fan liaison practically begging the new Director to play songs with an emotional connection to the fans and club, and the Director being like nah nah play Sandstorm, the plebs love that one

I've not found getting in a bother so far luckily. Hull was a bit of a panic over nothing and the queues were a bit too DIY but otherwise fairly standard, yesterday just strolled in about half 2 with no wait at all. Agree with the rest though, also as a minor grumble the little scoreboard opposite should be changed back to the old school font.

Personally I think it’s partly the club, but also the fans. Feels like we are all genuinely nervous of embarrassing ourselves and sort of have an imposter syndrome which shows on the terraces.

It’s all going wrong!

That feeds off the players though, even in the interview with EMC yesterday you could tell.

It's like we are just happy to be there, the dopey kid at sports day who has got out of maths so is chuffed but can't actually run. (before anybody says it, I was rapid at school, still dopey).

Yeah completely. Ultimately if the team played well the atmosphere would be better.

I don't even think it's about the final result as we saw against Man City. We lost but it was a completely different feeling at the end compared to Brighton and Hull.

There's a fine line between wanting to hold on to what's worked (off the pitch as well) and having to change things for the Premier League.

Got in early y/day only to hear ghost town, not only is it the wrong specials song to play but also sounds terrible screeching through the pa system. Seemed like a londoner had googled cov music and went for the top result

I don’t see anything the production company have brought to the matchday experience that wasn’t there before. The build up was terrible.
Also had the red card against the wrong player on the screen for most of the 2nd half .
Thought they were brought in to professionalise it

Went in the fan village and it was much quieter than last season. £5.80 for a Carling and £6.80 for a Madri will do that

Maybe people like me are to blame - PLP season ticket holder in Block 20. That £800 x how many thousand might have had an adverse effect.

I did say to my sone yesterday after the game - at least we didn't pay for that 🙃

Didn’t go yesterday as was in Greece… but I felt all these things for Hull. I’m pretty sure once Frank gets the team going the experience will improve, but it’s a real concern. Did piss me off we got rid of the lads who sorted the music out all these years. Are we heading for the happy clappers of Leicester experience which killed their atmosphere

I'm starting to wonder if everything is being run remotely. Everything seems pre-programmed pre-match and at half time. The in-game stuff on the scoreboard is now slow to respond, very basic and, as with the sending off, wrong. Fuck all now happens at half time that would need anyone to be in the ground.

With pretty much every PL game televised one way or another is there someone sat in an office miles away controlling multiple matches. With the kick off times you could have one person doing two or three games a day?

Why else would you sack everyone involved before? Surely if you needed someone at the ground to operate the scoreboard, even if under the control of a new production company, you'd employ the people who had been doing it for years?

The matchday experience is 90% about winning/ playing well.

The restis peripheral stuff.

Win games and matchday experience no one complains everything's hunky dory.

Theres no place to fucking hide but leave the stadium when your getting spanked.

I dont get why people thought it was Rudoni sent off? Apparently CWR thought it and a couple of people in the match thread put it too.
As the ref was holding up the card, Rudoni was walking to the technical area to grab a drink and was in the general line of sight of the ref, so many including the guys operating the score board jumped the gun and thought it was Rudi that was carded.

That documentary is so good.
Maybe getting our squad to re-paint the seats at the CBS would help improve their morale a bit

I thought it for a split second as Rudoni walked to the bench before Awoniyi left the pitch, but I missed the actual elbow incident

First home game of season yesterday and was surprised at how dull the pre match build up was. Screeching random indie music blasting over poor quality speakers then ghost town randomly coming on for teams walking out. Teams announced in a monotone voice and then WLADITT edited with x2 choruses confusing everyone.

With each passing game I hate COV COV COV, Motor City, non Sky BLue kit, and that fucking elephant design that is appearing everywhere more and more (not you, Sam!). And the butchering of WLADITT as previously mentioned. Feels like our identity is eroding.

Bring back our proper colours and start using PUSB everywhere again (its still the title of the programme so they can't be that fussed about trademark infringement).
