Match Thread Coventry City vs Brighton & Hove Albion FC (H) - Match Thread - Sun 13th September (2pm KO) (8 Viewers)

Bit nervous, I know our fixtures have been rough but we need 3 points on the board now, the longer it goes, the tougher it gets. Need a win.
Annoyingly I think I'll miss most or at least some of the game today so I'll have to gauge how we're getting on based on the insane ramblings of this forum.

Hull are the opposite of going full throttle yet you are saying they showed us how its done
So they haven't done what they need to do to show a bit of strength and take chances when possible. So you wouldn't swap there 8 points to our 0.They score goals only conceded 2 we haven't scored yet.We need to score today and hopefully get 3 points. We were 1 -0 down against Hull yet FL done nothing to change the game why not bring Simms on and go two up top.I believe in FL as last season will never be repeated but we need to start getting points or its along way back.

Must win. It’s ridiculous how well Hull are doing and they’re miles ahead of us in terms of points now.

Expecting a tight game today but with a 1-0 victory, it won't be pretty, but with a win against Villa in the week, will make us feel mighty confident against Forest

Let’s get behind them today.. create a great atmosphere.. it’s our first ‘Super Sunday’..

Even 90 mins of Twist and shout would be better than whatever the atmosphere at the Hull game was

Good chance tomorrow Brighton missing a lot of players
We’ve been stung by this mindset so many times.

Brighton’s recruitment model means they’ve got good depth. They always seems to have unknown players coming from nowhere that are ready made for the PL.

Like all of them, this is a very difficult game but if we start stay up, we’ve got to be beating these sort of teams.

Perhaps if some of the 'angry' fans could channel their angst into singing rather than shouting 'useless cxxt', that would help for a start. Bloke behind me in Block 15, please take note.

I firmly believe that this is a must win game , I don’t care if we turn them over 5-0 or a last minute 1-0 .

Stating the obvious but a win would be a huge boost, if we lose it's hardly season over but the pressure is going to start building and confidence is going to be knocked.

Fancy us to scrape a 1-0 win. Pinnock from a corner.

I’m feeling positive about today. We need to keep moving forward so whilst a win would be great, I’d probably take another good performance, a point and ideally a goal. It would be great to be off zero points as we are the only team in that position now. It has a depresssing look at the foot of the table. Three points and we jump up - that has to be an incentive for the boys PUSB 🩵

We've had one bad result. How many teams do you think will come away with points after their visits to the Emirates and the Etihad?

Getting those cup game nerves already for today.
Not going to lose my head if we lose, but really need to start getting points on the board now.
A win would be massive

Just shows how that win on opening day against Man U has given them so much momentum and belief.

We’ve had a horrible set of fixtures away from home but they’re out of the way.

We’re playing teams up until Xmas now we can get results against.

We’re cranking up and we gave Citeh a game last week. Another full week of training integrating the new players and we’re gonna start cooking.

Brighton had more big chances (15) and a higher xG (7.4) than any other side while only Arsenal (24) and Man City (26) have faced fewer shots (33).

Can see why Frank said this is just as tough a game today.

Theyre missing loads of first team players and we are at home.

Big game today. Let’s get behind the lads and keep the atmosphere going throughout, however tricky it gets. It’s a tough game, fixtures have not been kind at all and Hulls form and Ipswich’s to a lesser extent, have not helped. Other clubs are struggling though

Let’s keep our heads as a fanbase, as long as the effort and desires there, this team and manager deserve our unwavering support after the great times they’ve given us recently.
