Who out of our current or former squad strikes you as the best to play Dr Who?

For me it’s Ellis Simms.

He has that ethereal capacity about him.

He’s also got the shoulders to carry an emblematic coat.

definitely Ellis. It’s the hair and the height. He’d rock a scarf

Ellis not flamboyant enough. Needs to be MVE or Rudi

Torp would look quite good as Dr Who i think

Ron Grainer ( The Prisoner, Tales of the Unexpected) actually wrote the theme. Delia Derbyshire at the BBC Radiophonic Workshop added the electronic whooshes and sound processing which made so weird and futuristic.
A lot of the rest of their output is more avant garde/musique concrete- not many toe tappers (maybe apart from the Newsround theme)

as said above Torp would be the most fitting looking Dr Who

Roy O’Donovan. If ever you feel our current players are struggling at the level, this piece of time travel would give perspective.

listen to the original. all done with crude tone generators and tape. no synths. you want to change the pitch? play it at a different speed and record it again. a monumental amount of work.

basic tune written by grainer. painstakingly realised by delia. (what you hear is mostly her doing.)

anyway, to answer the question. torp. definitely torp.
he has that overworldly look about him.
and he's good at freekicks.

He wanted the BBC to give her a co credit for it, but she was a girl from the radiophonic workshop so no chance.

Anyway Grimes to.play the Master
