Transfer Rumour Summer Transfer Window 2026 (30 Viewers)

It really wouldn't surprise me if our rumoured interest in Sidiki Cherif from the other day is true. 19 years old, so wouldn't need to be one of the 25, bags of potential, pacey, strong, and another one who could be worth double what you would pay within a couple of years.

People keep saying about not needing to include U21s in the squad, but are we really going to have a squad of 27-28 players for fewer games than last season? I think that logic is all arse about face.

The squad was completely strung out at some points.

The ability to rotate consistently will help us in faster paced higher intensity games.

Super Frank has plenty of premier league experience back in the day i wouldnt worry too much about it pusb

I think the profile of player we are signing is really interesting.

If we were aiming to grind out results with a defensive approach and a low block we would surely be prioritising experienced, consistent, work horse, gladiatorial type players, but we seem to be going for really dynamic, young players who thrive on the ball in transition and attack. All suggests to me we are really going to go for it and try to get at teams.

Exciting times indeed.

We're much more marketable as a destination for the top u21 players now we are a premier league club, if we stay up there will be more like this and plenty of profitable trading to the top 6 and big clubs abroad. Mr King will be in his element. 😁

Rushworth, just spent 8 years at a premier league club.
The fact they never played him and spend 8 years sending him anywhere else is irrelevant...

But seriously could do with a prem level veteran LB to keep defence in order.

I just really like the idea of Mings now. Could play LB or LCB in a back 4 - if he’s playing LB he will tuck across which will free Van Ewijk up a bit. Also LCB in a back 3 along with Amenda and Thomas but we’d probably need a suitable LWB.
 
When we complete Yerinkyi, if we then signed Hamer, Moura/LB?, Mings/CB, Guia/ST. I’d say that would have turned the window into a great one for a strong attempt at staying up.
Would still like a LW (Mudryk loan maybe) and another AMC maybe RLC happens or Elliott on loan.

By my reckoning we’re 6 signings away from the perfect window. In priority order:

LB (Bueno)
ST (Franculino)
LW (Gboho)
CB (Mings)
CM (Hamer)
GK (Ryan)

Only another £80m plz Doug.

When we were in 1st season in championship we played good football. One bedwetters I. Particular was losing the plot saying how we would go down and we were naive etc but we stayed up with few games to spare iirc

I hope we don't abandon our attacking play on the premier league. Obviously some games we will have to be cautious but waste of a season to just go defensive every game

Not sure. Gus is a more versatile in midfield and Nebel is more of a pure creative attacking 10/winger.

I think is Markelo sale helps with Hamer signing then Nebel could happen as well. Nebel is highly rated.

Yirenkyi is an U21 and doesn’t, in the EPL, take a squad space. So there’s room for either Lati or Eccles.
