sure i read on a Cov tel article that it was confirmed we were meeting with that Winger's Swedish club yesterday to negotiate over his transfer. Hopefully that went well and we can look at an announcement pre-1st Jan

They did post that article but they got it from a random overseas website so no idea if its actually true.

Troy Parrot will cost a lot of money. I'm seeing 20m (albeit probably EUR). That dwarfs our current transfer record and would be a Premiership-ready signing one would think.

From the very little I've seen he looks to be worth it too. Maybe Leeds are serious about Haji. Although we know we have some dosh, 20m feels beyond us without a 20m sale.

Really??? £20m 😂😂😂😂😂 went on loan to Ipswich and was poor…a few goals for Ireland and suddenly he is gold… na

I can't think of many SPL signings but John Fleck was a quality signing. Michael Rose was a good signing at the time. We had that random CB that Pressley signed but never played. Think his name was Urquhart or similar.
I'm sure there are more but I'm forgetting them.
1/3 isn't a bad miss rate

Rose wasn't even signed from the SPL to be fair, but the league below and considering that was a decent signing. There are of course SPL players who've gone on to establish themselves in the Prem (van Dijk, McGinn, Tierney, Robertson), but it really is finding a needle in a haystack.
