Ill be honest, when he's in a game he's class, when he's not he just disappears. A bit like the meme of Homer Simpson blending in to the bush! There's no in-between with him. Hes either fully on it, MoM performances, or absolutely nowhere and we might aswell have 10 men on the field. I hate to say it, but with Simms, BTA (and maybe Bamford?), if any serious offers come in for him in Jan, id look at moving him on to reinvest for the push.2nd highest scorer in the league Wright? Kitchen had the mark on him. so he moved over to Woolfy and got the last 2 goals!
Needed 5 at the back really my guess is Thomas was a late withdrawal and probably forced Lampard to play Bidwell for his strength aswell and that changed the game plan.
In fairness to Lampard aswell it was difficult for him to make early subs as we were very luckily 1-0 up else i think he would have changed it earlier...
Hopefully just one of those nights (we need to remember ANY away game in this league is not easy).
3 points on Tuesday with the enemy (band and O'Hare
) and all is forgotten but anything less and the doubts start to creep in and with Stoke away and another Robins reunion next weekend we really could do with some decent points from the next 2 to keep us right up at the top

It’s a fair point. But lati was on the bench so fit I assume. Or Perry possibly? Just felt like a Pompey away type game. It was all about them pumping crosses in to the big lad. Clog up the middle of the park and leave it to BTA and Simms to do it up top. (Again hindsight a wonderful thing!)
