With respect the opposite is happening buddy.

You can surely see the difference between how we’re playing this season and last? The ball is getting up the pitch at a faster rate. The same is true even of Man City this season.
And with all due respect you can't tell me you watch other teams week in week out enough to say whether are they are arsing around at the back or not

There's simply more of the product when it's played our way currently, I do hope we continue with this and actually storm this league for!

On the playing out from the back thing. I read an article that this a modern day phenomena. It was noted that statistically hoofing the ball forward led to a goal for the opposition more often than not.

it turned into the playing out from the back. Now I always look at this as something realistically only the top teams could do as it requires elite concentration and control.

not a fan of it myself, but most teams take the odds that we won’t lose the ball are a lot better than getting it forward at first opportunity.

You certainly can. Take Russell Martin’s teams at Rangers and Southampton.

Southampton got absolutely torn to shreds.

They got promoted

If your gonna say that's no achievement with good players you can't then use relegation against him with a weak squad in prem compared to those that stayed up

It’s not the idea but the tempo. Passing it around the keeper and defence for long spells leaves you with the opposition set in place and tough to break down. If each player takes one or two touches before passing and does so up the pitch, you can play through the lines without hoofing it.

At the same time, you need more than one route to goal. So we also have players carrying the ball forwards, playing diagonals or going over the top. And this season we’re doing all of this at a higher tempo with players making clever runs off the ball.

Pass and move

No different to playing dinosaur and still going down like Luton ultimately

As I said before that season will have taught him lessons and he is his own man. If he doesn't wanna rip it up and do something completely different I respect that and that's all

I ecnever said he's best manager ever. I said I respect him sticking to philosophy

Top manager maybe not but he's not shite either as managers like mowbray failed at Celtic but are well regarded in the game so lennons achievements are more than enough not to be ridiculed

That's my only point. Keyboard warriors saying how shit everyone is even when they have achieved stuff
Lennon was lucky to inherit Rodgers first double treble winning side and it got worse and worse each year he was in charge.

His league titles in the first spell were 1 when rangers has a points deduction and then the rest where when Rangers were liquidated and the new version of them had to start in the bottom tier.

It's not "keyboard warrior" behaviour to point out you are wrong, no one is threatening you are they,

The king of tika taka Pep has even said his old style doesn't work any more. Team have learnt how to press better and it does work anywhere near as much as it did.

Also people seem seem to not grasp that Tiki Taka is actually a defensive idea, the idea was if the other team doesn't have the ball they can't score and you then back your players to be good enough to eventually score. It's a system only designed to work at the bets of teams.

Wasn’t that Barca win the famous 11% possession game where Barca had like 40 shots. Thats not a tactical masterclass - that’s lucky

Lennon’s career post Celtic would suggest that he was very lucky with the squad and situation he inherited

He won leagues when his team was fucking a million times better than fucking Aberdeen

Yes he beat Barca in a pretty flukey result.

Look mate, I know more about fucking Celtic football club and the quality of their managers than you.

If I was being "tribalistic" KI'd be saying he was better than he was. If you don't understand the word tribalistic then god help any kids you "teach".

Mate, I'm a Celtic fan and I have said we were lucky that night. One header from a corner by Wanyama and a break away near the end from Tony Watt.

He's dug himself into a hole and he is windmilling his way out.

The brilliant manager Neil Lennon is currently manager of Scottish Championship team Dunfermline Athletic.

The home of good managers.

Haha it's always people not understanding when your caught out

Do you need me to also give examples of how tribalism isn't always about being positive about your manager?

Care to explain how it is "tribalistic" of me as Celtic fan to say Neil Lennon wasn't a good manager?
Depends on the motive doesn't it?

Were fucking celtic one of the best clubs in the world we need to play better than this or a different style where we have more shots Vs Barcelona or we need the elite managers not this guy etc

Don't even try to argue the above isn't a valid example of tribalism

Consider yourself taught

it's really not is it, that's not tribalism and that isn't what I'm doing is it. i'm simply being realistic about the ability of a former celtic manager

you've tied yourself up in knots and are just windmilling now

i'm impressed today, he's invented a new type of "tribalism" where you downplay some of a team you supports greatest successes.

Keep telling yourself that, soon you'll be claiming it was your cousin who was a bit thick and doesn't understand what "tribalism" means.

Consider yourself "taught" and let the non stupid people talk :)

Mate, claiming it is "tribalist" to say as a Celtic fan Celtic were lucky to beat Barca is one of the greatest mentalist moments I have seen on here, so fair play for that.
