Is Edwards any better than Binks was?
probably slightly better defensively but as said seems a little undersized and not very quick - great on the ball though

Got to be mad to think we are even entertaining the idea of asking to loan him 😂 we can’t afford 20% of his wages! I am sure Chelsea have some sort of soft spot for Frank but to lend him to us and they pay the majority of his weekly wage is not the best bit of business, is it?
If it was out in the footballing world that Chelsea were looking to offload him in some way, I am sure a lot of prem clubs would show interest along with some parachute champ clubs.

Hes being paid off by Chelsea if he doesn’t find anywhere and might not be picked up by a PL club as he hasn’t played much recently. Lampard signed him at Chelsea and he may well want to stay local (as in England) and take a reduced contract that’s considerate of his fitness situation to get regular game time under a manager he likes who he knows likes him.

Mephams a fantastic signing
One of my mates is a WBA fan and he's always been a touch arrogant, funnily enough the one time he'd started to get a bit humbled and not fancy them, i actually think they have the best team they've had for a while
Not sure what's going on with Fellows though, i was under the impression the club still needed to sell to balance the books so not sure how they are doing this business.

Albion will be top 6 easy

Boro have made a great signing in Matt Targett today aswell to add to what they already done

Us, Boro, Albion, Blues, Ipswich, Southampton, Leicester, will be an absolute bun fight for the top 6 positions in any order

Our midfield cooks all of them, we have to keep them fit. Rudoni, Torp, Grimes is becoming a dominant force at this level.

Leicester is a real unknown I think.

They've cut their squad too thin to the point where youth players will probably have to play a significant role this season once inevitable injuries and suspensions start mounting up.

Recent performances have also been concerning. Some of the senior players that remain either aren't good enough or don't want to be there which won't help their cause.

They need to bring in probably 3-4 solid signings to put themselves in real contention, which probably won't happen given how late in the window it is.

I work with some Leicester fans and they are not optimistic about this season at all. Frankly, I don’t know too much about their team, I’m not convinced with their manager and neither are they. A QPR fan I work with wasn’t so keen on Cifuentes but perhaps that was a bit of sour grapes.

It’s so nice hearing that they’re genuinely worried about us turning up to their patch turning them over!

Leicester looked quite useful on opening day, the way they won from behind in the second half was pretty strong. Better than us against Hull tbh!

Fellows is not the upgrade we seek though
I don't think we need an upgrade, we need someone as good as Kitch and Thomas to step in with rotation. I wouldn't drop either of them at the moment. If we just need a head on a stick to defend corners then fine, but they have played together for a while now including at Barnsley and I think they compliment each other quite well. All thats needed is coaching set pieces

They shouldn't be really.

They're seriously lacking in numbers in certain areas.

And despite it being reported that they don't have to sell any further players as they're temporarily in the clear with PSR, (which I find difficult to believe) El Khannouss, Fawatu, Faes and Okoli are all being linked with moves away and I suspect a couple of those will probably go to compound the lack of numbers issue further. I suspect that was pushed out in the media to drive up the prices for their players and place them in a more favourable negotiating position.

Cifuentes was very low down their list of options. I suspect preferred candidates opted not to join after being told about the fire sale which was pending this summer.

The lack of experience in getting teams out of this division won't help him and when the injuries/suspensions start mounting up it'll be interesting to see how he responds.

Personally see it as way too early to judge anyone at this stage.

Take when we last did well at the start, went top against Peterborough only to finish around 12th?
Think Blackburn had a mega start last season as well didnt they ?

Mowbray season? Finished 8th, but you are right judging the table after 3 games is pointless. Give it 10 and it will be a reasonable representation

You can only play what is in front of you, they were far from shit. We couldn't score against a side that's conceded 5 in two games! It's really far too early to be making any predictions.
Think you can see the value of Hughes when hes out of that squad tbh.

On Leicester more concerned over the performance against Charlton. Will be interesting to see them play one of the teams predicted to do well
