You know the model. We cannot keep turning down huge money for players.

Look at Sheaf, you're an injury or two away from being worth nothing.
If it’s the start of June then fair enough. This will be another Hamer situation where we won’t have time to adequately replace

We only sell Rudoni if A we get a ridiculous amount E.G £20 million+ and B we have a replacement in the door before selling.

Southampton being a championship club, we should really turn the screw if they want him, £25 million plus Edwards on a perm deal. Is it realistic hell no but we shouldn’t be realistic this late

We all knew coming into this window that MVE and Rudi would be targets for other clubs and if the bids / players terms were high enough they would go … If you didn’t know you should have.

This happens at every level …..

Sorry that’s bollocks. Fans have bought season tickets etc in droves. If we sell our best player to a league rival that takes the piss.

You sell Rudoni if you think you have no chance of going up this year. Sends a message if they do and it's not an outrageous fee.

I disagree. It’s detrimental

Or course it is, it's a huge loss and we would need a replacement ASAP.

However, similar things were said about Sheaf, he's not worth next to nothing.

I just don't know how we can afford to turn down £15-20m.

15 million is way below what we should deem as acceptable, especially from a rival team

If I cared about gross profit I’d go stand outside my local accountancy firm every Saturday instead. I want to watch us win games of football, not win the spreadsheet league.
You win football matches by improving the quality of your team and you do that by selling single assets that enable you to invest in better players across the squad.

Yeah you do that at the start of the window or you front load your spending. You don’t try and spend £30m in three weeks like some EFL Brewsters Millions.

Interesting to hear for so long about this special relationship between Rudoni and Lampard ? Money and nothing else talks though sadly

You can't tell a fanbase who are buying season tickets that the aim is to be in with a chance of promotion again, then sell your best player to a team in the same division.
It would be completely unacceptable.
This us how football works and always has done/ if you are surprised then you should give your head a wobble.

Also IF it’s true then Rudi and his agent will have told Southampton they would be willing to join to them … clubs rarely bid twice unless encouraged by the player ….
