Transfer Rumour Bassette to FC Utrecht (12 Viewers)

Had another chance to run with the ball with passing options. Sort of got stuck between his feet and he stumbled over the top of it and lost possession.

I think those two incidents were his total contribution.
Didn't he go in for the challenge where Tatsu shot straight at the goalie?

Yes just got tangled up with a defender. At least he got into the cameras field of vision,

To be fair we scored a few goals last year where he just randomly did that.

I think emc got one where bassette was just playing twister with the defender.

I think it was after the Stoke game at home that it showed Robins hugging him & looking like he was saying 'keep your head up' kinda thing & Bassette nodding but looking dejected
Beat me to it…

I remember thinking this was quite telling at the time; looked like Bassette was moaning to Robins about lack of opportunity since he left, and MR was telling him to keep going / work hard(er) etc.

Norm will be gone by the close of this window. He is not listening or bothered by not being in the squad. If he was he would be busting a bollock in training to get in.

He will not be missed if he genuinely is not pulling his weight.

Belgium cap went to his head.

Went to a few heads on here as well.

Obvious potential but if he can’t be arsed to work hard for a place in the team then good riddance. We don’t know the full story but it says a lot when you can’t make the squad for a friendly.

Probably because the strikers we keep persisting with are a bit shit.

They just seem unable to grasp the concept of a player being dropped. Coming up with conspiracy theories about Sheaf and Bassette because they weren’t in the team/squad

More comments about training and attitude
Hmm shit questions don’t really know how he can answer it. It’s obvious he’s in the process of a move. Really strange signing and said it at the time. We had 4 strikers for one position, was never going to keep all of them happy.

Bassette was just a bad signing. A player with limited talent and an ego the size of Neptune isn’t a great combination

He has potential, but attitude seems an issue which will ultimately lead to him failing to fulfil his potential. Long way of saying, yes, bad signing.

I don’t even see a lot of potential - some pace but that’s it.

He was making a general point about squads, and that he had to leave out Obikwu and Andrews too. When he was asked about Bassettes attitude, he rowed well back on that.
He's got a point I guess. Who are you having Bassette above on the bench? You're not having him on there with Simms and Wright.

Asked if Bassette is injured, City’s head coach simply answered: “No.”

As for whether last summer’s signing from French club Caen could be on his way out of the club on loan or otherwise, Lampard admitted: “I don’t know.”
