Brushing my teeth this morning and got sad thinking of not hearing Clive commentating again. Voice from my childhood unless I'm getting him mixed up with a prior commentator
Clive took over from Gurney in the early 00s.

Ok I am getting mixed up then as I remember being on my bed on a sunny saturday listening to radio when we played Leeds and we were 10 unbeaten or something. Would have been mid 90s

Still early 00s is still a bloody long time!

I find Gurney to be overly critical and negative these days.
I agree to an extent.

His job at the moment is to give a personal opinion on what's going on, rather than commentate and as we see on here it's very easy to spout off annoyance and criticism.

If he does go back to the commentating hopefully he'll concentrate more on describing the action and be more like he was before - he was a very good commentator before Clive took over.

I don't know if it's cos we know about his mental health issues but it feels like you can tell he is depressed and negative on the radio

LB was asking Clive how the play-offs worked at half-time and how it’s decided who we’d play if we got in. She clearly has little to no genuine interest in football.
She was probably asking for a friend. Or the uninformed on here. Given the rapid increases in attendances at the CBS they are probably quite a lot of people who don't know how these things work, so she was asking a public service question.

Having given a fair, balanced and supportive answer I will have to spoil it by saying that I don't like female commentators for men's matches so I really opulent don't want Lorna to take over commentary.

Rob totally mismanaged the fans forum following the sacking of Robins. He operated like an ill Informed fan not a BBC sports journalist.

At times we love Rob for his emotional bias but when you openly question whether the owner of the club is telling the truth when you have no evidence to the contrary then it’s unlikely to end well for you.
They pushed that agenda way beyond anything reasonable. Over friendly with Robins?

I am sure Gurney's return has led to this in some way. The way Gurney laughs or makes sounds of bemusement at Clive's comments has been a continuing trend in the coverage this season. I know RG is The 'City Fan' but he's so prickly when challenged.
Clive is like family now. At times sily and irritaiting but I love his pure emotion on the mic. No filter.

I don't like Gurney, he is permanently irritating. Far prefer Eakin
Made fun of his bald patch apparently. Offered some of his fringe to cover it up.
Thanks Andy.

How puerile, especially if done in private. Its not like anyone won't have noticed it. Just needs a bit of dark stain on his scalp. to tone down the contrast. Probably too late to sneak in a Russell Slide cap now. Fringe is wrong colour anyway.
