They signed 3 strikers in the summer did they not?
4 IIRC. All young players nowhere near ready for the 1st team. That's why they never get named in the squad.

Mowbray didn’t get them promoted. I know some fans claimed that he was being told who to pick and even who to sub during games though, can’t imagine he just accepted that if true.
Not heard of that but wouldn't surprise me with what lots of supporters come out with.

Sounds like in the end he had had enough. But as we know with our own club we rarely know the truth. Having the players chosen for him adds up because Mowbray is too experienced to go into the second season without a striker to play.

Do you not remember the strikers we had in Mowbray’s second season with us?
We had strikers. When Mowbray was our manager we were down and nearly out. Most of our players were shite. We went for the cheapest option in everything. That's how we ended up in League 2 after he left.

Co’mon now, they missed one big opportunity. We had a pretty big opportunity missed ourselves at 0-0.
Tbh I can't remember specifics, I definitely don't remember the big opportunities missed for either team.

I know once the second for us went in they seemed mentally broken, before then I thought they looked very dangerous, a game that hinged on the first goal.

Another rumour from this account.

Would ruin Blackburn if true though.

Southampton look bloody good, watching them against Swansea 1-0 up in 6 minutes

Still early but it does frustrate me as to why we struggled to break them down at Christmas.

This is going to be a bloodbath

Prem League squad vs average Championship squad. Result wasn't really in doubt. Was hoping Swansea would be as tough to break down as they were against us.

Swansea with one back. 1-2 now.

Blatant handball but call that even

Offside and pen for keeper taking out Lowe. Sky commentators are having a ball dissecting that one. And that Soton keeper is a walking hazard.

1-3, Downes for Soton. Decent strike.

This is going to be another crazy, high scoreline. And Soton to win 6-1 only 10/1 on SkyBet 😟

Soton seem to love playing Swansea who we just can't beat no matter how hard we try. Hopefully that changes next season.

They will be very difficult to beat at home. I'd be very surprised if they don't make the top 2.
Hopefully by the time we play them they will not have much to play for and we can spring a surprise ala Boro and Sunderland etc. Anyway let's take it 1 game at a time.

Southampton are on a great run, wouldn’t surprise me if they pipped Leicester for the title.

Only caught the latter part of this game. Southampton could have conceded a couple
#It was so easy for them, they switched off for the last half hour and got sloppy. Was pleased for the Swansea manager for the response in the second half, as the first half must have been embarrassing for him/them.

Perfect results pretty much bar Birmingham who could yet topple Leicester now they have tony xox

Soton will get 2nd. They are better than Leeds and despite what ppl say on here clearly have a good manager.

But the rest is up for grabs. Still about 10 clubs fighting for 2 spots looks like.

Mark Chapman Sam, Sam Parkin & Jobi Mcanuff praising MR & AV on Final Score today for about 5 minutes, saying how they've done it under difficult circumstances & how team has evolved. When it was mentioned that it was surprising that they never seem to be considered for other jobs, McAnuff said MR/CCFC are perfect match. Nice to hear positive things from R5live about our club/management.

I listened to this as well, was really good to hear. I think Jobi was right too, Robins has had mixed success elsewhere but he's the perfect manager for us. For whatever reason it's just a good fit. It was also interesting to hear them talking about Robins as probably the most successful player turned manager of the Fergie school of coaching.

Don't want Mark Robins to leave, but.

When Man United go looking for a new manager, would be an ideal choice, ex player as well.
