Helping younger fans getaway is a good idea but I don't think that fits within the scope of what we're discussing.
The other think with holding back tickets for general sale is someone like yourself, who must have a fair few points given by the amount of games you've been to might get beaten to a ticket by someone who's not been all season so that would hardly be fair.
I bought a half season ticket before Christmas. A full season ticket was impractical based on early season games and in reality so is a half season one but will try an get my monies worth as best as I can . Shafted by the Millwall switch but rearranged Bristol City is a game now I might be able to get to now. I will limit my other away games to Huddersfield and Blackburn. I'd love to go to Birmingham and to a much lesser extent WBA, but those tickets will go to long term season ticket holders, but we've had that discussion!!!

Thanks really kind of you.
It looks OK according to Cross Country. I am on
0703 from Manchester to Stafford - that looks like a normal train
0833 Stafford to Coventry Arena via Nuneaton arriving 0949 - both legs look like trains
1550 Coventry Arena to Stafford via Coventry arriving 1730 - both legs look like trains
1733 Stafford to Manchester - this looks like a train and starts from Coventry at 1632

Do you know which trains are being replaced. I know the Nuneaton line to Leaming through Arena can change to buses "at a drop of a hat"

double snap . I got one through a friend. I was stuck on 560 points.
I have 1200 odd points but missed the initial scramble! This is the 3rd or 4th time I've managed to get tickets when they release a couple hundred after the first drop(s).

Going the week after or whenever the 4th round is?

Wife and I have around 1000 each, also missed the announcements.

Question about the Trams.

Are they frequent, before and after matches? Looking at parking in Tescos near A61 and hopping on a Tram there and back. Any advice?

Trams are fairly frequent, just google Sheffield Supertram or even put the ground and Tesco addresses in Googlemaps, it'll tell you how frequent they are. I think it's about every 15 minutes but not been for a good few years.

Anyone on the train passing through East mids parkway? I’ll be getting on with a 4 pack of Tescos own lager!! I’m getting into to Sheff at 12.44 if anyone’s about. Meeting my mate at Sheffield station before pub time 😎

Such a great city for drinking Sheffield is, loads of pubs in the city centre for before and after the game...looking forward to it!

That particular Tesco has a 2 hour parking limit - and it's controlled by ANPR cameras so I suspect you wouldn't get around it by spending money in the shop.
If you carry on along the A61 towards the ground there's a Morrisons a mile or two past the Tesco turnoff. AFAIK they don't have any parking limits (I've been in this morning and not seen any signs) but I've no idea how busy they get on match days.
From where you enter the carpark, head for the opposite diagonal corner and drive up the ramp to the upper level - if you exit via the pedestrian walkway on the upper level and turn right there's a tram stop a couple of hundred yards away (handily positioned outside a Wetherspoons!).

As a Sheffield resident I can totally endorse this
Where are you thinking of going before and after the game?

Not been to Sheffield for a while but enjoyed The Head of Steam and a couple of places where most of the bars are (West St?)

Genuine chance for five wins on the bounce with these next two.

And those thoughts is exactly why I’m still predicting a draw.

I wouldn't be heading to the Weatherspoons mentioned here fellas. It'll be full of Wednesday's "finest"and TBH I'm not sure you'd be allowed in anyway.

Pubs at the Leppings Lane end of the ground are away fan friendly and you'll be okay around West Street.

Easiest option if you are driving is to use the park and ride at Meadowhall and pick up the tram there. Can be a balls ache of a journey back after the match mind.
