For some of those clubs, it was a matter of finding a way to survive. Playing on behind closed doors just wasn't sustainable for so many of those clubs, even if some others and their chairmen might not understand it.

When we got relegated to League Two the first thing Robins talked about was rebuilding, getting straight back up and then going straight on through to the Championship. Mission accomplished.

Yep, he always spoke about getting to the Championship. Never being content in League 1. And that was just after Wembley. He's never mentioned the P word mind (yet).

League One Clubs have voted by an overwhelming majority to formally end the 2019/20 season.

As a result, the final League standings have now been confirmed meaning that Coventry City have been confirmed as Champions with Rotherham United securing the second automatic promotion place to the Championship.

Wycombe Wanderers, Oxford United, Portsmouth and Fleetwood Town will contest the Sky Bet Play-Offs with the schedule to be announced in due course, while Tranmere Rovers, Southend United and Bolton Wanderers will start the 2020/21 season in League Two.

Getting a bit emotional. Want to be on it somewhere with my mates and beer flying everywhere.
Me too mate - I was one years old in 67 for our last league win. Contacting family and thinking about the old man ( who was there in 67 and was in hospital terminally ill for the cup final). Emotional day, despite the current circumstances.

Wish I knew how to upload photos on my phone though Hill!

Its not ideal to finish the season early. But under the circumstances I think it is the right decision.

We deserve promotion and are worthy Champions. The team were just playing better and better.

Would like to see a representative from this site , Grendel will be fine, on the Sunderland board.
looking forward in particular to the Norwich away game, as the ground is about 250 yards from my house. The icing on the cake would be Villa coming down, God is that too much to ask.

I've been pretty much absent since the season finished, I've just been waiting with baited breath for any official news to come in... I'm so happy and relieved to say happy league champions day, everyone! Enjoy it. We absolutely smashed the league and were head and shoulders above everyone else. None of the asterisk bullshit, we earned this and deserved to win.
