So who's going to be our new manager then? (1 Viewer)

Plenty of people are calling for SP to go as it will turn our season around apparently but no one is saying who can/would/should replace him and how they're going to save our season.

I'm all ears. Convince me.

We need a manager who can motivate these players so unless Mourinho fancies the job I'd go for an experienced manager and not a young one for the future type which Alex Ferguson called Pressley !

If he went I want to see Eric Black. If nothing else I need closure.

Don't ask a question with logic that trips you up.

You're the one who doesn't have an answer for the question.

I started the thread to hear opinion on the question asked (strangely enough). If you dont have an opinion, fine. Dont answer the thread.

I'm not calling for his head. I'm almost not throwing the toys out about people criticising the manager rather than blaming the owners for everything, which is what you've subtly masqueraded your question as.

I think he'd be a popular appointment amongst fans including myself. The problems as I see it is he could probably do better so why would he consider us and could SISU afford him?

Swap that list for your list of new owners.

There would be multiple people/groups who wanted to take over the club and dozens of people who would want to be manager.

The difference is, almost everyone would do a better job of running the club than sisu (they haven't just made mistakes, they have actively and knowingly taken actions that we all knew would massively damage the club) but is there someone we can afford who would want the job that will do a better job than Pressley especially when you take into account that paying off Pressely will mean even less money for the already threadbare squad.

I know 100% guaranteed if I were the one making the decisions for the club that we'd be a much much better place than we are now, yet if I were the one managing the team we'd be lucky to have any points at all.

Sorry. When you agreed with another poster who said we'd have 30 applicants on another thread I assumed you'd have an idea who they would be. Clearly not.

SP is the most dedicated and passionate manager around - as seen once again yesterday in the tunnel area being physically held after a bust up with the Walsall player's manset being his main target -he does really care and demands 100%- everyone has an opinion but SP is working with what he has got - changing managers will not solve any problems as i am sure he would be rather working with last years players top of the league and playing in front of 25,000 + than having to manage average players and playing in front of 8,000- is this really his fault

I don't want Pressley out. Your tone is less apologetic by the post, tony.

Admin. If you'd like to delete this ^ idiots posts from this thread and all of my replies to him that would be great. Its a genuine question that was asked in good faith. Something numb nuts doesn't seem to understand.

Cheers.

If we're dictating censorship rules, please delete all of tony's replies in every thread and make him move to the back of the bus.

Cheers.

Do you actually have an answer to my OP? If not kindly Fuck Off to another thread.

What a moron you are tony. You are so stupid you do not even see the irony if your comment. You try and outwit people who are too clever for you by half.

What do you think the first thing a new owner would do? What might that be?

No, no, no, no, no. Why not mention McAllister whilst you're at it?

I'd be for Eric Black having another go at some point if only to answer the 'what if' scenario that'll always be there.

Strange. I thought there's a list of 30 candidates? Yet you've failed to name 1.

My personal choice would be to try and tempt a man who is arguably the best FORMER lower league manager to come to CCFC..........The Director of Football at Crewe...Dario Grady. Just a thought guys.

Grendel this is not like you? That list has the likes of Sam Allardyce and many others who have careers elsewhere these days or gave up football management eons ago! George Graham?!!! In fact - which one do you have in mind?

Comes with copying and pasting on my phone a link - will try again.

I don't doubt the people calling for SP's head are the same ones that would have fired Allardyce and Pardew a few weeks back?

Some of you walk around with grey clouds over your heads permanently and the glass half empty.

When Ferguson he was like Pressley, young and virtually untried. You have to give people the tools to work with ie decent players not other teams
cast off's. I wonder how Fergie would have fared given Pressley's rotten hand.

He'd have got us promoted out of this awful division that's for sure. He wouldn't struggle to get results against teams which have budgets half of ours.

He would have fared a lot better as he is a better manager obviously.
