Just been down the pub , chewing the fat with the lads , all city fans of 40 years plus following the sky blues , all won't go anymore and the consensous of opinion is we are well on the way to a Franchise club, when Northampton go out the football league it will happen. Fisher and Cardozer have been pals for a long time , the new Northampton manager was on Fishers list before. Pressley will be off in the summer ( who can blame him ), we will merge . It's time people got real, Sisu don't want Coventry city fc, they want the land/ground, they are playing us for their gain. Do city fans want this to carry on any longer, this season Sisu have been so lucky with a good manager ,and good kids, who Gregor Rioch brought through, he has gone, i for one have really have had enough, my mates and me decided today, we will never go again with sisu in charge, that is home ? or away this is about 12 of us plus our kids, no more, i'm expecting the usual suspects on here calling me a "drama queen ", wake up and smell the coffee people.:(

I agree. It's easy to block out the thought of CCFC moving permanently, but it is a very real threat :(

i feel sick about the word sisu. they are a cancer.

I just don't understand those that believe what they say, I agree all parties are at fault, but at least the other parties are relatively honest?

it's all pure propaganda, and a number are swallowing it

This has been spoken about before. I'm not going to thickfields. There comes a point when the 'faithful' at Sixfields will realise this will be the outcome if it goes on much longer.

I cannot say that I will not support City if we still have SISU in charge. Getting back in Coventry is more important for me. I only support the Sky Blues in Coventry. I don't follow football anyway. It is city or nothing...........Not long before this happens in my view.

@ thaiskyblue.....You won't be hearing anything of the sort from me mate. I've been "Non SISU compliant" for a very long time now. Will never go to a game "Home" or away even at the Ricoh, untill those Bas****s have gone!!!

I think this is key aswel, I purely support CCFC. I love football, but can only ever support CCFC and get the same feeling when CCFC score. I think CCFC means more to me than England tbh. But if they cease to exist, I would probably "follow" Bournemouth, but would never truly support any other team :(

I think its fanciful and extremely unlikely. Can you just 'merge' two clubs? Do you know this?

No, not really, there was no existing team in MK was there?

I suppose yeah. But they did relocate to a town no where near where Wimbledon played. People reference Arsenal, at least they were in the same city?

thank you for your imput, if you don't have any feeling for a club such as ours that's why seppella's mafia will kill us off. no one else gives a stuff.

agreed. Leeds or Millwall would be in ruins by this stage (as in the city) . We do have to many fair weather fans or fans without backbones, which ever one you wanna call them

But that is what sisu are playing on , they think " it's only little coventry we can manipulate these to our gain", let's send them packing !

SISU do have a point

we have what 10,000 regulars at the ricoh? take off 3,000 occasional goers say, that's 7,000 hardcore. 7k were at the march weren't they? 7,000 out of 350,000 willing to stand up and fight for what they believe in

So how do Sisu make money from merging a team once based in the Championship and one with the potential to be non-league?

Absolute nonsense.

Do you mean how do we send them packing ?. I suggest a mass demo outside Sixfields for starters. Ask other supporters to join us, total blank of the ground nobody enter, i understand some people want to go, but just for one game surely they can stay outside.

Why do people always throw in the criticism they're expecting with posts nowadays? Aside from it being a subtle admission that it's justified.

do you not think sisu are using our club for other reasons ?, they are business people do you think they would run our club at a loss if they didn't have other agendas, they don't want a football club. Not nonsense, that is what they want you to believe, looks like they are achieving that aim.

It's hard to question a conspiracy theory concocted with the lads down the boozer. Did you know dogs can't look up?

I would think even the football league would be forced into action to prevent a merger.

SISU winding up CCFC and buying Northampton ... that's the real concern.

how do they make money playing at sixfields?

rent would be what 100K? 2,000 x £15 (as an estimate) = £30,000 per game

Then take off wages, policing, other match day costs

Players wages... 18 x £1,500 (1st team average wage) = £27,000

if sisu wanted to get into playoffs they would have used some of the recent windfall to get a proper centre forward ,even pressley said after yesterday we had no focus up front.
i can only deduce they dont want promotion ,the theory that we will become a franchise club playing in warwickshire infront of 5000 at best is in my view the most likely outcome.

bradwellskyblues

they wont claim the prize and ccfc as we know it will disappear, they will either stay at northampton or as i said before they will play in warwickshire most likely league 2 or conference.
all very sad

They've said they can sustain loses for a few years...that's not making money. The plan was to get to the Prem and sell for a profit. That didn't happen. They'll sell when they might make a profit, ie with The Ricoh on board. There's no way that some franchise club playing in Northampton would make anywhere near enough money with this scenario to sell.
