Well if last Sunday is anything to go by, then SISU may have a long wait. Not sure what was on ,but both Car Park A and B were virtually full, and Car Park C had the circus top, although that Car Park was mostly empty. Don't go past the Ricoh that often, but generally it always seems reasonably busy. As far as I'm aware the £14m loan is being repaid on time, and ACL have always filed their accounts on time.

I know this might sound unfashionable but isn't building a new stadium, when there is already a perfectly good purpose-built one, just downright wasteful? That's what would have been said 30 or 40 years ago. We've all been trained to be good little throw-away consumers since of course and to see development as a good in itself, but it just doesn't feel right for that reason alone to me.

If ACL really can turn a profit without needing to have the stadium in use, then surely there is a deal to be done that allows for use of the stadium and access to all F+B & other revenues? i.e. splitting the Ricoh into stadium and arena. I mean the car park is not making money if not in use, and the F&B company is not making money without bums on seats...
Now I know the club is spouting about wanting to have access to non matchday revenues, but surely if the price was right it could potentially suit both parties....
Of course ACL and CCFC won't work together, and I am skeptical about just how tight things are without the club playing there - just sayin.

ACL have been making offers, they appear to be very open to a fair deal, probably less open to deals where their future profits are effectively gifted away.
I believe ACL are happy to work with the club, to me the problems always come from the clubs current owners.

The club has stated time and again that they need access to all the revenue streams... whether or not I truly believe this or not is another issue but as soon as ACL make an offer that includes access to all the revenue streams then the club will have no option but to get round the table, or they will be caught out in another lie.
I realise that ACL has sold the F&B to Compass for £4m but they should renegotiate their 4m contract to not include revenue from football to allow that to be part of any rental deal.
Alternatively a good chunk of that 4m plus ACLs share of the match day F&B profits should be offered to the club. Bottom line Compass doesn't make any stadium related profits without fans in the ground. The club brings the possibility of the F&B revenue and car park profits to the stadium but gets nothing but a 1.3m rent bill in return? They were getting screwed and I think we all accept that, but the problem is the burnt bridges CVA rejection etc ... There is a deal to be done here if all the bad feelings could just be put aside... I need to stop now it is making me angry!

It would take a lot of pie sales to make up for turning down a rent free this season and 100k the next two seasons with a massive uplift of ticket sales for bringing our club home. It is nothing to do with pie money. We all know this. Unless you believe everything Timothy says that is.

You do know that the club sold to F&B rights to ACL as they were struggling for cash, ACL didn't say 'we need access to the revenues' and the club thought 'oh all right then, here you go'. Why should a company who doesn't need to sell something valuable go around making ever smaller offers to sell that very thing. If the club needs the access, they need to come up with a tempting offer. I can't imagine they will ever stump up what the club sold the rights for, £5m was it, they think they can buy a ground for that much.
Would you accept the free rent offer (although paying match related costs), knowing that the F&B was not coming your way? I would, it would bring in millions a year.

ACL have made at least one offer to SISU that included access to all of ACLs share of matchday revenues and arranging meetings with Compass to discuss access to their share of matchday revenues. This offer was dismissed out of hand by SISU.
Why should ACL hand over renveues on non matchdays? Remember we owned a share of those revenues until we choose to sell them, we also had the option to buy back that share and failed to exercise it.

Quite right, it shouldn't be down to ACL to chase SISU to make them buy the share back. We had a right to buy back 50% of ACL (and I belive that deal included CCFC getting all matchday revenues), it was believed to be a cost of around £10m. SISU put in a much lower offer to Higgs which was accepted and then SISU never followed through with the sale!
I'm not sure what people expect CCC / Higgs / ACL to do? They've made offer after offer to SISU all dismissed out of hand.

All good points. With the benefit of hindsight... the club has probably already lost more or close to what they could have paid to Higgs for half of ACL. I guess that is more depressing than anything else - this entire situation need not have happened but for the stupidity of some suits...
I find it hard to be sympathetic. Get in bed with sisu....
And then repeat It by rejecting the latest offer losing around £7.5-£10 M. in the process.

That's the frustrating thing.
I don't think any fan thought the rent was fair any more or that we didn't need to gain access to match day revenues.
The tide turned when it became clear it wasn't about the rent or the revenues.
Were we sitting here discussing how Sisu had negotiated the price down to what was agreed previously and bought ACL, I think public opinion (and the clubs finances) would be very different.

I honestly don't think they care how angry any of us get, they've shown no sign of caring so far. It seems sometimes like their whole strategy is aimed at pissing us off - they must be closet Villa or Leicester fans.

Season ticket holders get certain privileges and types or priority at every football club don't they? Given there's one for non season ticket holders towards the end of the month I see no problem with it.
You're also assuming those who go to Sixfields have any time for Sisu and I suspect you're wrong about that in the vast majority of cases; I've been a couple of times and know a few who have got season tickets and they're as anti Sisu as anybody.

This isn't like the fan forums where they're basically doing the same thing 3 times. This is an event for ST holders only with a vague promise that at some point in the future there might be another event for everyone else.
I understand that on some things ST holders should get priority but on something like this they've just created more bad PR for no reason. Have it first come first served. If too many people want to go move it somewhere bigger or have another one the next night. That way you're not leaving yourself open to people saying things like you only want ST holders there as they will be an easier audience.

The CCFC Stadium Forum has been set-up to ensure the club’s tradition and history is imprinted on the new venue and it meets with season ticket holders and corporate season ticket holders this evening (January 9).
The forum, chaired by city businesswoman and lifelong City fan Sandra Garlick, will hold an open meeting on Monday, January 20 at the Village Hotel in Coventry.
Sandra said: “We will be holding several meetings over the next few weeks to hear views on what supporters would want from a new home for the club, so they can be passed on to the club and its designers as they continue to develop their plans.
“Those who would like to be on the committee, which will be formed in early February, will be invited to register their interest.”
Anyone wishing to attend needs to register by emailing [email protected]. Confirmation of booked places will be sent via email. Supporters are asked to arrive at 7pm for a 7.30pm start.

This could be a very interesting meeting! Surely SISU are going to have to try and put some sort of statement out before this meeting given what's been revealed in the last couple of days.
How long can they keep the pretence up. They need to either get on with the new stadium or come clean and say there is no new stadium.
I wish I could share your confidence. However I expect she will simply refuse to talk about the location, claiming it isn't in her remit. They will spin this out ad infinitum, to be fair they can hardly admit the truth can they.
