I would imagine they are just following their team and enjoying the football. Maybe it's just as simple as that. You might get a bite from someone Italia so you can go off on one.

I don't mind them following their team but I am interested to know whether they think SISU are doing okay.

Its a bit of a rhetorical question - the damage is done. Sisu got the club into a mess , didnt grasp the crap deal they had done until it was too late, dithered in the last year of the Championship with Thorn when we could easily have stayed up...so;
As a positive SISU actually seem now to understand the importance of the team to running a football club - and Waggott is key to that - good manager, intelligent signings, academy development etc
The situation at Sixfields is actually ok by me as a short term - the problem with SISU is that there is nothing to really give us any confidence that there is a future plan - new stadium seems a pipe dream so the thought of 3 years at Sixfields is appalling
Other than that, bearing in mind no one really wants to be in Northampton, they are doing their best - you certainly feel welcomed and they are trying hard to make it feel like home. With the good performances it really is a good experience being there - sorry but its true. Certainly it is no worse than the Ricoh in terms of fan experience.

This season we stay up, and if next season we are still at $hitfields playing do you expect Wilson Christie Leon C Fleck or Moussa to still be at Cov ?
Do you think there will be adequate replacements especially as there are significant losses ?
What do you think the crowds will be ?.
How will the Northampton experience be with even smaller crowds and lesser players in a team that doesn't win so much ?.
All hypothetical stuff but we are overachieving currently with our squad, i think next season will be an even lower point if we are still in Northampton.

For me at Sixfields i have witnessed one of the best attacking, young city sides i have seen for many a year. I would rather us be at the Ricoh and see it there but i cannot influence what goes on off the pitch, i just want to watch my team. For me its not how SISU are doing, its only about how the team are doing.

But its a never ending circle because if the above named leave, SISU will state that they cant afford to retain the players or could not turn down suitable offers as the fans are not attending, and so they need to sell to survive.
I am not condemning NOPM, but it will fall into SISUS hands when they sell a player as they will need the money the fans are starving them of.
But then the fans will argue they wont attend as we are not playing in Coventry and so the circle cointinues on and on and on......................
(and no I havent been to Northampton to watch the team.....but I never say never)

If that happens when will it have been any different from before? We've always survived that way, post SISU too. I'm annoyed as anyone when we sell our best talent, but it's hardly a new thing, is it?

yeah but when Richardson did it, it was okay, now the evil SISU empire are destroying our club by selling players. Lets face it, we will be extremely lucky to keep our front two given their current form. We wont be able to turn down a large offer but again thats no different to any season.

I think they are saying that we are where we are and lets support the team while stuff going on is out of their control and we can't influence.
Personally I need to see a plan for the future before I can go in at Northampton.
If they say we are moving back to the Ricoh after xmas I would possibly go.

As it stands (we may get special dispensation) FFP will leave a massive dent in the club's ability to secure new players - Any players we currently have that are approaching the end of contracts will be gone and a spiral into League 2 is inevitable. Yes we are playing quite well under the circumstances at present but if playing there lasts 3-5 years more we could end up in the conference. I would expect SISU to pull the plug by then or agree a rent deal or part ownership of the Ricoh - I can't see ACL selling the lot.
Torchomatic - agreed we have been a selling club but where do we draw the line - We may now be a selling club in League 1 whereas we were once a selling club in the Championship and the Premiership before that - The standards are consistently dropping. Its very sad to see the club in such a mess.

You really are a numbskull so I'll dumb things down for you.
You ARE driving a wedge between Coventry City supporters. When you wake up (or grow up) you might see that. Until that day keep your bile off constructive threads like this one.
I basically agree with this. Except the bit about the fan experience being no worse than the Ricoh. Maybe if you're comparing 5-4s and 3-2s with the scrappy 1-0 defeats at the Ricoh, but if these performances were happening at the Ricoh there would be no comparison in my opinion.
As for my opinion on how Sisu are doing, it's pretty clear it's not gone well. We're in an obviously worse position than we were when they took over, so there's no debate there, they've clearly done a poor job so far.
There are some signs that they have wised up on the football side. The managerial appointments seem to have some thought behind them (Waggott making the decisions instead of Ranson is a bonus from this point of view), and the focus on the academy is sensible and necessary.
I am attending the occasional game at Sixfields because:
a) I want to see the team play.
b) I am not opposed, in principle, to a short term ground-share in order to escape the shackles of the Ricoh Arena rent deal.
If I see no movement on plans for a new stadium or a return to the Ricoh by the Summer, then I would be re-considering my position for next season.

The SIXFIELDS (constructive apologies for childishness) experience to date is Played 6 W4 D1 L1 - with the exception of Brentford, fans have seen either a winning team or an entertaining match and often both, if we have an even weakened side we will be beaten more unlike to play the same quality of football in an even more deserted stadium. I see this scenario as more likely than less likely. We the Sixfields 1000 still be so bullish then or will it have become the Sixfields 500.
Being unable to produce a competitive in the third division of English football is a totally different scenario to the top flight years as mentioned earlier, where Swindon and Brentford will be considered more attractive propositions to our stars than playing for the once mighty cov.
