This just flies in the face of everything else being said.
It shows commitment for the long term, shows we have some money we are prepared to toss around when needed (though I suspect it's not large compensation) Yes they have to get a manager but we have one in place who has been reasonably impressive who could have completed the season? After all unless Pressley is looking to get us up still what was the point of change at this late hour when the choices available in the close season would be dramatically increased?
SISU have chosen what they want again and if they have done it well like last time maybe they get another pat on the back in all of this.
Just can't help thinking though that Robin's left for a bit more money but primarily as he said "did not get the guarantees he was looking for" when he sat with Fisher and Waggott before deciding his move?
Is Pressley not interested in any guarantee of the future of the club short term?
Or have some guarantees been given yet strangely not given to Robin's?
Or for that matter the minimum guarantee Robin's knew he needed (future funding etc) is not the same as Pressley's thinking? That's a worry.
But if your intention is to bring through the youth squad then I can understand it more
As a caveate to that my hope then is we get promoted this year because we won't get out this league blooding the youth too much?
That's my only concern as I don't think Pressley has done enough to opinonate over yet.
The next few games are vital to the playoffs...can't really afford to lose them. SISU are backing a man for league 1 next year and using the youth players more, helping to comply with fair Play rules and avaoiding any more hard cash injections for transfers etc.
Hmmm interesting as this is the sort of risk that can go badly wrong. Pressley has no room for mistakes and niether do SISU.
