Carling (1 Viewer)

Back to bring my own 4 pack and sitting in Can Corner until 2.45pm.

Doug, I'm more disappointed about this Carling Catastrophe than us heading towards smashing Derby's point record.

You’re definitely bringing a 4 Pack of Madri!

(Carling in a waistcoat)

Most people would've accepted it as it was only £2odd but it's not on.
Yeah I gave in, I think it was a deal for a coffee and a chocolate bar, bad decision to go for shit like that anyway but sometimes I lose my dietary discipline . 😁

Several occasions recently I’ve ordered a shandy for the husband as he’s driving, to be given a full pint lol it’s just basics

I sent an email to Suzette about The Shambles on Saturday in the Premier Lounge hospitality and guess what the reply was.

Please fill in this survey regarding your experience. 🤣

Anyone else get a survey?

Rarely buy anything in or at the ground, maybe a hot drink in very cold weather. It's not penny pinching because I spend in other places. It just always looks like an experience that's not worth for the quality and choice on offer. Doesn't help that I am a vegetarian but I mange to spend plenty when out in other places

Genuinely more pissed off at this, than the lack of depth on the left side.

Carling is a very decent lager. AVB going down to 3.4% in October so may put a few off.

Tom Cruise What GIF

Carling may not be the best but it's pretty consistent and I prefer it to the Bud and Stella shite before. £6.80 for a 3.4% pint of Carling is an absolute joke though.

should be at least half price with the strenght of coffee

0.6 drop is very insignificant let’s be honest.

When did people start looking at strength of Alcohol instead of price and taste? Seems to be really common nowadays when I don't think anyone really looked at it before.

It's real ABV is usually below the advertised 4% at around 3.7%.

Block 22, reluctantly went Madri as the Camden bar is gone.

Remember when Stella was 5.2%?

I'm in the South stand and the bar options are shite at the stadium.I'd normally have 4 pints at stadium on match day won't be bothering now. I'm going to have to get into Guinness or something as they have that.

BYATTS BEER local real ale absolutely wonderful stuff. Camra winner on many ales and brewed less than a mile away from the ground.
It would be great to support a local business that supplies a true quality product.
I have no attachment to the brewery but it’s bloody good local ale.

Get some in Doug.

I've always much preferred Byatts beer over Dhillons.

Would be great to have it up the CBS

I doubt many fans go to a football match for a premier experience regarding drink and food. I don’t think if we bought in Michelin Starred chefs and allowed CAMRA discounts for a selection of high end real ales it would catch on.

Most of these beer connoisseurs have no doubt been pre match to those excellent establishments like the wheetsheaf or the cherry tree and consumed some quality food from a burger van . Imagine the disappointment they most feel that for the 20 minutes they may have at half time they can’t enjoy these experiences of high quality food and beverage.

People raging that the hastily poured lager in a plastic cup that they’ll gulp down in 10 mins is Carling not Stella lol

Even the survey was half arsed asked about the program which I haven’t read for years and didn’t seem to give an option for don’t read them.

I don’t drink beer in the ground as I would need a piss to often in the game and it’s bad enough with people coming and going already.

I’ve written to Douglas and asked if he could perhaps invite Rik Stein to do a fish tasting experience for the oh so sophisticated Cov fans and also a Belgian beer bar selling a traditional range of Trappist ales and lagers in lovely designer glasses.

To be fair, the Stella they had was the worst beer I have ever tasted, Carling is just a mid beer but it's ok in a football ground and much better than the Stella which is normally much better than the stuff that was sold at the ground.

Dreadful decision. Watch beer sales plummet
Why? They have clearly been only selling in the main concourse Molson Coors beers since the start of the season so why would it drop? Also to make the deal official they will have clearly seen big enough sales toi make it worth making the deal official.
