What i've seen of Wolves and West Ham this season i think Boro are better and Lankshear is going to get a load of goals in the form he's in. He seems to read the game so well right place rice time nothing flashy
yes, but what I am saying is they have better quality players so Boro would need they to underperform all season.

You just said I called him a tactical genius lol. Same as loving him

I would have thought him consistently dominating games for 2 seasons now might have made you chill a bit on the overrated tag? Only promotion will make you think he's not an overrated manager?

As David has just said he doesn't have the best squad so bit harsh to say promotion or failure for him as a manager
I meant the wider perception of him rather than you and at this point considering the hype around him he needs to win promotion to back it up.

He seemed to get a lot more plaudits than Lampard who proved that he’s a superior manager.

On paper, even halfway through the season last campaign Ipswich had the best squad. They just didn't make the most of it or have the balance quite right either.

Whereas you recruited to fit what you had and Lampard marshalled them more effectively than McKenna. Hellberg actually even managed more effectively than McKenna did, given that he had far less depth and starting eleven. And both of those are without even factoring in the enormous amount of help the Tractors had from the refs.

What did for Hellberg more than anything was A) Not recruiting a decent striker in Jan and B) that our 3 most creative players in Hackney, McGree and Conway as a wide man all collapsed with injuries for a decent amount of time in our final 10 games. If either of those hadn't happened we'd have likely gone up. Not taking anything away from Lampard as you'd have still won the title IMHO but it would have been a lot closer.

Thankfully for us, we've belatedly put right part A) and with Hellberg rotating players a fair bit this time due to having his fingers burned (ie Lankshear getting rested and Ayling's inclusion more than needed raising eyebrows) he's taking some steps to lessen the impact of a B).

I'm not sure he does. Was just a brief month of praise when they rose to top spot sure but also understandable

How are things in the lower leagues these days?

They probably can't get games on because of a bit of rain. Peasants.

Burnley manager sacked after 14 games, lost 4-1 away at Lincoln today.

I said that game for us today, in that weather in the championship, there would be tackles flying in, 30 yard strikes, red cards, goals, loud atmosphere, the lot

I miss it

Not surprised they are a desperate club loaded with debt and owners who seem to divide their time been them and Espanyol.

I see today Wrexham have been fined for naming two illegible players ,1 Callum O'Hare who didn't come on the pitch, the other Kabore did come on as a sub .I thought if you played illegible players you got deducted points just wondered why this haven't happened?

I believe it may have something to with the fact that they lost the game, so Kabore isn't perceived as having any impact on the result? A strange way of looking at it, but can only go on what I've heard.

Parkinson will be gone from Wrexham soon, he has done them more than a good turn but he has hit is ceiling as a manager - Infact I think he was punching above his own personal weight to have them in the play-off mix last season

Reynolds and McElhenney will go for a Lampard style big name appointment to try to push them on to the next level

Speaking to a Wrexham fan last weekend he doesn’t think they’ll sack Parkinson and he has ‘enough in the bank’ to see out the rest of the season.

I just can’t see it but it will be interesting to see how the owners manage it. The money they have spent to be a piss poor Cov B team is highly amusing.

Parkinson is out of his depth at this level, he's incredibly lucky he was picked for this money job over all the other journeyman lower league managers that are exactly the same. Pressley had him sussed, he's a dour prick.

Don’t disagree with any of that. 😂

But they don’t think he’ll go. Even though he refuses to budge from a 3-5-2.

They love Hyam and Doyle. And Sheaf when he is actually fit. But they are beginning to realise O’Hare is all fart no poo.

It's a mad twist of fate, but Boro could actually get 3 managers the boot in 3 games over 8 days, starting today. Jones, then Parky midweek then Watford's latest bloke (who has had an age in the job - for them - compared to others, despite being one of the most rubbish)

Though tbh, that eventuality working out is highly unlikely. We're bricking it over Charlton this afternoon (and indeed all these 3 sides for the same reason) Everything points to a win for us, but that makes the powers of "Typical Boro" all the stronger? This kind of game is also the one we came unstuck in most last season; the low block and shithousery were our biggest Achilles' heel...Slinging an entire team in their own box against us to bounce legions of shots out from packed bodies and hacking and barging into players to interrupt flow are a Nathan Jones' side's biggest strength...😱

If we somehow manage to pull off a victory today, a few of us may even dare to dream that we might make something out of this season...Which is also dangerous!😬
