With Spurs fans (in corporate) being sat behind us, there was inevitable banter. No problem with that. However, I still can't believe how daft some of our fans are in having obtained tickets for games like this, to then get involved in fights among themselves, getting worked into a frenzy wanting to have a fight with those in Corporate (which is never going to happen) and then getting themselves thrown out of the ground. Some bloke (old enough to know better) was brawling with the stewards = banning order. Madness. On a positive note, some of the Spurs staff were top notch last night. After the game, I saw (the famous) Pat Raybould leaning against a pillar, waiting for her grandson, and a Spurs steward spotted her and asked her if she would like him to find somewhere to sit (as she looked a bit uncomfortable). Top ground, top facilities, and helpful staff.

Were you just to the left of the goal?

someone near the front got turfed out not long after the equaliser. not sure what for.

Took about 6 stewards and they were quite heavy handed

No - bit further around - diagonal to the corner flag. My mates were near where you're referring to (I think). Behind me, there was a Spurs fan giving it loads (before the game had started) and he obviously attracted the attention of a lot of City fans around me, With all the communication between stewards/security, I just don't get why so many people can't switch off from getting so wound up that they risk getting ejected from the ground. Just laugh at 'them' if you have to react at all. I'd love a tenner for all the times I've seen people 'offering out' other fans, when they know there is zero chance of it happening.

Posturing is the simplist and most stupid thing. Like the lads who say hold me back hold me back when noone is around....it's trying to be intimidating but it's laughable really

We commented on how excellent all the stewards were. Really approachable and friendly, thank you for cooperating with the security checks etc. Didn’t see any trouble thankfully. A bit of banter with the Spurs fans immediately to our right but harmless stuff really

Smoking in the stands by me, lads behind talking about how much sniff they had. Watched one guy stand on the safe standing railings and almost stack it, It's a minority that ruin things.
Those sniffer dogs must have got a nose full of something. They don’t call it crack for nothing.

I heard some cov fan being racist at the end of the game leaving through the block 117 entrance (shouting into the corporate bit) but didn't see who he was to grass em up

Dealing with racists shouldn't be seen as "Grassing". Anyone who is a city fan who uses racist language towards anyone in the ground (whether it is a player or another person) needs to be outed and removed. It never had any place and it doesn't now.

Hopefully they have this on CCTV and the club can identify him and ban him.

Sure they would be one of the ones who states they can not stand all Wednesday supporters due to the KP incident too as I bet they will have the attitude that it is OK for them to do it but not against one of our own type people.

Racism has no place in society let alone football

He was leaving the stadium. Difficult and possibly the wrong time to be calling someone out.

Honestly feel that was the most bitter and bile filled away ends I’ve ever been part of.
Yeah it felt really off. We had some little scrote come out second half and like squash my 70 year old Dad and then be a rude little shit when we asked him to move. One of our lads basically told him to have some fucking respect and then a load of blokes came down the aisle wanting to have a go at my mate form”shouting at a kid”. When said kid was a bellend. Been going home and away forever, never had any issues. Also recognised no one around us.

Some proper divs in the away end last night , i get you think maddison is a c**t .. but to drone ON and ON and ON and ON as loud as you can and shout it all game until his sub makes you look weird tbh
Tbf I was pretty annoyed we were booing him at all as he's always been respectful about us. But then he scored and celebrated with his stupid darts throw, so called him a pikey c**t and told him to get his hair cut. That showed him, I think :(

What block were you in? We were in 114 and loads of the usual fans around us, more than I've seen at the first three games tbh. I wondered if it's because they moved the numbers up to 1700 starting and we didn't have to suffer all those 1600+ peasants :D

Where I was in 114 it was carnage during the first half with security. Plenty of pissed up people being racist and argumentative with security and then wondering why they were getting kicked out. Think it all started with security trying to get people to be in their correct seats and not in the aisle.

If they were being racist they should be kicked out, but I didn't hear any at all. That said, we were in our correct seats as usual. Not sure why it's so difficult for others to do the same.

Edit: guessing you were further back? We were only on row 7 and it did look busier behind.

Booing Maddison was stupid - I prefer to ignore him - and counterproductive, as he’s hardly the type of player to be intimidated into having a poor game and could well lift his performance.

When he scored I thought he was trying to mute his celebration, but maybe as he was being booed he decided to go for it.

Lots of old heads there last night. And loads of people I’ve never seen or haven’t seen for ages. Felt like many people were there to visit the Tottenham stadium which is fair enough I suppose but does make it harder to lift the team.

It’s perhaps telling that most of the songs were variants of the sky blue song, the Bobby Thomas chants and a bit of twist and shout rather than some of the repertoire we have got used to.

The Tottenham fans on the journey to the trains were annoyingly decent and reasonable. The fact that they were very relieved to win reflects that we let them off the hook last night rather than exploiting some obvious weaknesses.

Was it someone pointing/shouting something like 'he's a' half caste' or something like that. I heard/saw someone do that between Block 16/17 right at the end, and was about 20 feet away. There were others around doing the general posturing, but as well as being racist, I thought it was just a plain odd thing to shout (as it appeared to have no context - and I've genuinely never heard anyone use that term as a form of racism before).

Yep I was on 14. In the end I think a Cov steward ended up coming to try and calm in down as well a bodycam enforcer.

I wonder if that's why I get stuck with all the randoms in the 1500+ peasant block.

We were in Block 313 directly above our fans and it appeared the stewards were being very heavy handed but reading this looks like for good reason.

Quite a few Cov in our block but all behaved themselves and the Spurs supporters round by us were sound as it was blatantly obvious me and my mate were Cov fans but think it helped our other two mates are Spurs fans.

Has to be said it’s some stadium.

Just goes to show the higher the loyalty points doesn't mean the higher class of fan.

We clearly need to increase the ballot allocation, to help bring the quality of fan up.

Got to be honest, the lad who was manhandled out by several stewards had ample warning to wind his neck but just kept at it and refused to go with the stewards when asked to leave, I think its fair to say he brought it on himself.

For all we know, he could be a 'ballot' boy. If he's higher up the charts, then it's one more ticket for others if he gets a ban.

Pretty sure Maddisons Dad was in front of us. He wasn't happy with the boos and people calling him a judas c**t.
