Agree he’s rusty but he’s still been in areas to score this season and another player who needs minuteshes looked like hes playing with cinder blocks in his feet.

Maybe because it was league one Plymouth ?why are we counting this cup game but not the other? genuine question
Maybe because it was league one Plymouth ?
I’d of thought it’s a given we’d of scored against Plymouth. I think he meant against teams the standard of we’re playing every week.wev’e managed one free kickSame cup as tonight.
May as well just do League Only then rather than just randomly exclude bits.
absolutely, I said in another thread that unless there is an improvement in performance and results over the next 5 games he'll be gone by the end of October. Right now, if we see another performance like tonight/Sunday on Saturday, then the longer than normal international break might be really convenient.Surprised to see people saying give Lampard till the end of the season - appreciate what he has achieved with us of course, but at this rate we won’t be beating Derby’s record.
who would you replace him withabsolutely, I said in another thread that unless there is an improvement in performance and results over the next 5 games he'll be gone by the end of October. Whatever happens, FL wont be here next season. All the talk about him being the right man to bring us straight back up is complete bo****s in my view, as is waiting till Christmas or February FFS, to see if things improve.

5 games against prem opposition, 1 goal,0 from open play, conceded 13.4 fucking games including the top 2 sides in the country. New players, new league, huge step up.
Ffs this place misses me off after a defeat. Forgot how bad it gets after a positive last season.
Tonight means fk all. Brighton we capitulated after the sending off, but they're a decent side. Arsenal and Man City are levels above. The outlier of course is Hull, they came for a point and left with all 3. That hurt, but we weren't outplayed and it can happen. I have no idea if we'll survive, but it'll 100% get better if everyone sticks with it.5 games against prem opposition, 1 goal,0 from open play, conceded 13.
OK so which game is REALLY when the season starts then?Tonight means fk all. Brighton we capitulated after the sending off, but they're a decent side. Arsenal and Man City are levels above. It’s not that…if you’d of said the start of the season we’d be on 0 points after 4 games it wouldn’t of been that surprising it’s the 0 goals and 10 against that’s the problem,… I’d rather us play like we did last season and I bet we’d be no worse off.. it’s like we’re scared to have a proper go…tonight’s games was nothing…Sunday was the wake up call and fans are rightly worried4 fucking games including the top 2 sides in the country. New players, new league, huge step up.

I don’t think playing Rudoni is a bad thing but he has to play him as a 10. The right wing experiment has to end.Probably put all of our best players on the pitch at the same time and see what happens.
Will start Grimes and Rudoni this week again.
Gboho looked good and ran at them. Best drop him.
Yep, thats my view, and sorry it doesnt match yours. Last season was brilliant but its now history. Its about the here and now, and its not 1 defeat, its 5, and the last 2 have followed a very similar pattern. Nothing I've seen suggests we are going to drastically improve and the longer it goes, the worse it will get. Lampard doesnt look right in himself. I dont see a coach on the sidelines communicating with his players, tweaking things, demanding and pushing his players. Compare and contrast with his performance last season and Emery tonight or Hurzeler on Sunday. Chalk and cheese.4 fucking games including the top 2 sides in the country. Lampard will be gone by this time next week. Its so obvious. He has lost the dressing room or the players know he is going and have basically downed tools. Either way it is obvious the players are unhappyabsolutely, I said in another thread that unless there is an improvement in performance and results over the next 5 games he'll be gone by the end of October. You are spot on. Lampards body language and also that of the players is a dead give away. Something has happened behind the scenes between Monaco and start of the season. Looking back the players looked really odd body language wise when they arrived at the Emirates. That performance was so bad (not a tackle for 65 mins) we really should have realised there was a problem then. The fact it was agaimst the Champions i think masked the obvious red flags. There was no fight which for the past 8 years for a Coventry side has been unheard of.Yep, thats my view, and sorry it doesnt match yours. Last season was brilliant but its now history. Not sure what your expectations are, but seemingly mine are different to yours. If you can see any grounds for optimism, fair enough, I'm struggling to see where points are coming from at the moment.
He looked bereft.Exactly, felt like they had given up. Undid all the good work. Not the best mentality. I saw a shot of Lampard, just sat there. Reminded me of the game Coleman got sacked after. I think we lost 4-0, and Coleman looked exactly the same.

Play it up to Simms, who has held the ball well previously, so he can lay it off to Torp to send in a 25 yard thunderbastard into the top corner. Failing that, Lay off to Torp who has the technical nouse to slip in one of the wingers (like Tchouna went through, against Monaco…I think it was)
Any update on haji fella?Simms cannot hold the ball up. Hes fucking shit at it, too weak, and his first touch is if a trampoline. How have people still not realised this after 3 fucking years??

Doug isnt clever enough to appoint a non english manager.
It will be Dyche or Edwards

Agree with this! But we all know it will be Grimes and Onyeka SaturdayIt's time for Lampard to stick to a formation and XI for a run of games.

Poor Villa team ?.They started off slowly last season and got better same will happen this season. They've also lost two of their best players and are rebuilding. They were miles better than us in speed ,,and strength, guille and flair.

Most have, including Lampard who clearly only plays him as a last resort. But hey, he shoulder barged Gabriel at Arsenal.Simms cannot hold the ball up. Hes fucking shit at it, too weak, and his first touch is if a trampoline. How have people still not realised this after 3 fucking years??
Lampard looks lost at the moment. It appears he’s throwing shit at the wall and hoping something sticks. The teams organisation is appalling particularly from set pieces. Villa’s goals were all far too easy, as were Brighton’s.
