Ticket Exchange 26/27

But if it’s season ticket holders selling back to the club, there’s no physical transaction. The club would just deactivate/not issue the ST for that game.
Good point, I thought you were talking about transfer of tickets between members rather than selling back - totally fair.

They're listening at last... although this may have been in the pipeline for a while.

The ticket exchange returns with improved incentives according to the website, yet you can’t spend it on the concourse and in the shop online only - that doesn’t sound like an improvement to me. Also why are the club so reluctant to offer a cash Incentive like other clubs do - even if it’s a tenner per game you miss towards your ST next year.

Never used the ticket exchange and probably never will.

Happy about the ticket forwarding though.

Now I just need to find a friend (or 5).

Very good news

Coventry City FC are pleased to confirm two important changes designed to make it easier for General Admission Season Ticket holders to ensure their seat does not go unused when they’re unable to attend a game.

1. Ticket Forwarding will now be available for Season Ticket holders.
2. The Ticket Exchange returns, with improved incentives.

Ticket forwarding:

General Admission Season Ticket holders will now be able to forward their tickets to 5 nominated supporters, whenever they can't make it to a game.

This function will become available as soon as tickets for a fixture go on sale, and will be enabled early next week ahead of next week’s fixture against Brighton & Hove Albion.

Ticket exchange:

The Ticket Exchange returns for 2026/27, giving Season Ticket holders a simple way to list seats they can't use.

If you transfer/re-sell your ticket do you lose the 10 points off your loyalty points total that you got in the 190 at the start of the season when you purchased your season ticket?

Excellent of the club to listen and change things. They do have a habit of this to be fair.

Only option is to sell on ticket exchange

Is the forward option not available for Brighton yet?

Can't see it

Wasn't there something about they will let us know how it works on Monday

Can you not just forward the ticket email to somebody random not on your fan list and then they can download it to their wallet etc?

You could. You'll probably need to remove it from your wallet for them to the add it.

But in theory (I've not saw anything specifically addressing this) the club/ticketmaster could take action if they see tickets being assigned to different Google/apple accounts. Would PROBABLY be fine for a one off game (if the ticket forwarding isn't sorted by then)

Great stuff.

I'm seriously pissed off with the lack of communication about this issue, and the optics from Hull were frankly embarrassing.

Can you share the email address please?

I'll happily cut and paste your concerns and hopefully others will too.
Sorry about being slow to reply. Been away for a few days. E-mail address is [email protected]. However the ticketing update from the club two days ago suggests they've made a sensible move and offering some flexibility.

The cash has been banked so they need it for this year as that's what they've done business on prefer, discount applied next year wherever we end up.

Not correct as they resell for double what they pay you. You don’t get anything if they don’t resell

At least speaking for Apple - the privacy here means that's not possible. The club can't see which Apple account a pass/wallet was added to, however they can see that it was added / re-added.

The most crude thing they can do is measure how many times a specific ticket/pass is added and invalidate that pass / contact you. But they can't determine whether a pass is moving between devices owned by different individuals because that identity is not shared with the pass isuer.

Yeah they wont get see the un-anonymised data but they will be able to see a pass is moving around. For example our apps (my works) report as a new random identifier each install with iOS, I would imagine a pass being assigned would be similar. I would think they could see if it was different accounts without actually seeing the account, but I dont know.

I personally don't think it would ever come to that at least not now anyway, I bet clubs like Utd and Liverpool monitor this, I just didn't want to say it as a matter of fact.

Yeah - they can see the frequency with which a pass is being downloaded, but not more than that, as I understand it. Apple in particular is very thoughtful about privacy.

For what it's worth, touts are selling one-off games from digital season tickets in this way for other, larger clubs with much higher demand and pricing than ours. As such I suspect the club aren't likely to pay too much attention to passes repeatedly being accessed like this, but I could be wrong.

No - that won't happen

If I wanted to bring my son (7yrs old) on Sunday, how do I try and get an adult and a kids ticket from those listed on the exchange? Do I have to look at all available options where's the two seats next to them and hope that one is an adult, one is a child?

Get the pricings right if that information is available?
