I agree this would be ideal, but I cannot see any Championship team installing him as number 1 now.

In all seriousness, we are only allowed a maximum of 17 non homegrown players in our 25 man squad, so replacing Dovin with Dan Bentley (who is English) keeps us within that limit and allows us to add another foreigner.

Also do we want him somewhere more mid table than Wolves where he will face more shots etc. I imagine Wolves, West Ham etc will not have to defend an awful lot this season.

Better to join someone like WBA, Swansea PNE style team who should be a good outfit but also will need their keepers to perform too

Not necessarily, it’s not so much the level but playing regularly in matches and gaining confidence in his knee. It could be a six month loan and then review again in January.
