Moment of the Season?

Very early in the season, but when we scored 5 away at Derby, in such a fantastic game with a bouncing away end, it felt like we could have something special. We have had a lot of amazing atmospheres this season, and I think it is the most often I have had a croaky/lost voice this season by a country mile.
The game that got us over the play off defeat- a crucial comeback. Also worth remembering Rushworth didn't have the best of games that day (and let in a soft one v QPR). Getting those mistakes out of the way without costing us points might just have helped him settle, from the Leicester away game on he's been magnificent.

Boro away was fairly special and a great performance
Boro away was probably my favourite as well tbh. When Kitching scored the winner and all the players jumped into the crowd and then Simms scored a 4th before we had even finished celebrating

Finding out Doug had brought the stadium then battering QPR 7-1. Felt like a fever dream after the years of shite we had to endure

Derby fan on the way out of that game said we would win the league.

Haji hat trick against Boro at home showed we had it in us to fight on and dominate. Critical turning point in the season.

Vividly remember stood there thinking at 3-2 down that we'd blown another chance of decent start to the season. Then 25 mins later we were 5-3 up and I was thinking we might do something special this season! Our fourth by EMC is in my top goals of the season.

Totally agree with EMC’s goal at Derby, majestic move but also shout out to Ellis Simms for our first away at Boro. Astonishing

Southampton away was the moment I realised this team had a proper run at the title in them

Bristol City away where we won with 10 men and Ipswich slipped up at home to Leicester was the moment I knew it was gonna happen

Best moment of the season though was Grimes scoring away at Swansea, after all the vitriol that was thrown his way until that moment I have never seen a set of home fans look more pig sick and like the ground wanted to swallow them up - Fucking hilarious, only regret was he was too classy to celebrate

Another one was sheff United away, after that game I knew we would be fine. Boro I actually expected to do well against as as there style of play, they were never gonna sit back.

Was nice to see us get a win there for a change but Bedworth United would have beaten W.B.A. that day, they were dreadful :ROFLMAO:

They were, but we won and are unbeaten away since.
Prior to that we'd picked up 3 points in 6 away games

Moment of the season for me was Thomas' equaliser against Blackburn. I doubt I'll ever know celebrations like that again.

Just came across this so apologies if it's been posted before.

What a fucking season we have had. Sunday is going to be magical

Reading all those comments, what I fantastic season it's been. 😍

Se Matty Grimes selected his 2 most important games in the pre match press conference.

Preston home, Swansea away
Preston seems an odd pick, was an easy game on paper and played out that way on the pitch.

Not really for me, fan's responded that night was different gravy, probably thinking that moment it was believable to us.

That was the game we won the league tbh. Was less about the game and more about the other results and where it put us in relation.

Not listened to the interview, but as a player surely that would mean less since you wouldn't be as aware.

No neither have I just giving my reasoning for agreeing with him 😂

Been stressed at every game this season, but the boro game was the one, cant wait for tomorrow, and don’t we all deserve it

Obviously the entire atmosphere around the club felt totally different the day of that QPR game. Owning the stadium, the lift it gave everyone, the bleak years, the uncertainty, was all over.

But, as special as that was, for me, it's Boro at home.

The narrative had just begun to change. They'd closed us down, gone top. The talk was just shifting to how they were the side to beat, they were the best team. The game against them felt like us planting our flag and deciding it was time to stand. And what a stand it was.

Without that win, my feelings is we'd be going through the turmoil of another playoff campaign. It put our season back on track, and seemingly derailed theirs. That was the first time I really allowed myself to believe we were going to do it.
