Chelsea - they couldn't, could they!? (10 Viewers)

Agree. He’s not staying at Coventry city if Chelsea want him. Anyone thinking he is needs to give their head a wobble.
I'm wobbling my head.

If Chelsea came in for him now I can't see him going. He has just stated that he sees what has just happened as having only one game in his whole playing career above it. This isn't a finished project. The journey has just started. He has also stated how much he is enjoying himself. He certainly isn't doing it for the money. He has an owner that has backed him and he trusts King.

Does anyone really believe he would give it all up to go to a club that would sack him quite quickly if the results were not good?

Nice little pay off for Roseinor 4m for a few months of failing, I think he’s a really good manager but not at that level and he seems to be making the game confusing

Frank will see how Tuchel goes with England in the WC! That job would make him move methinks!

Tuchel signed a new contract in February until after the Euros in 2028. The FA moved to keep him with a couple of club teams potentially interested like Man Utd. Unless we do really bad, I can't see him getting the boot.

In my view, if he is considered a truly elite coach, then go back. Both of his spells he did Chelsea a favour and they dumped him the moment it was convenient.

Would he be seen as an elite manager for getting Chelsea to 4th?

He joined us in the November when we were 2 points above the relegation zone and in a relegation battle. We finished 5th and were clearly unlucky against Sunderland. This season with mainly the same squad we've clinched the Championship title with games to spare. Very unusual for a non parachute side.

I'm quietly confident we will survive next season with Lampard. We won't be spending massively like Sunderland. Lampard and his team have put some of our players onto another level and this will have been noticed. I have a feeling we will get a top loan or two from the top sides in the Prem where they have players that are good enough for a bottom half club and need game time at a club that will improve their players.

To me Lampard is in the shop window with us. We won't be spending massively but Lampard and his team will be choosing the players they would like. Getting a non parachute club like us to be Championship champions then safe before the end of the season in the Prem would show him more as an elite coach than finishing 4th with Chelsea.

England will need a new manager in the next couple of years. It wouldn't surprise me if he stays with us until England come calling. With us he has everything he could want other than a top 5 budget and his clubs location in London.

He will be the England manager for a couple more years. They will already be looking for potential replacements. This would give Lampard a couple of seasons to prove himself.

I'm ready to enjoy the moment and wish Lampard all the best when England come calling.

He's a complete helmet. The kind of bloke you have to slowly edge away from if he traps you in the office kitchen and starts boring you to tears.
‘Respect the ball’ while wearing hipster glasses like he’s Ian Wright. Sadly I think there is a conveyor belt of Roseniors on the way, ‘Tonda’ is another, ‘Hellball’ another still.

Arteta is one I really can’t wait to see the back of, addicted to corners because the rest of the league keeps going along with the madness.

Sorry, it’s digressed into another rant about corners-I can’t help myself.

You really backed yourself into a corner there 😉

Just feel Chelsea is going to be one of those clubs that turns over a high number of managers because of their ownership group.

I enjoyed this post, but I think I’m starting to believe Tonda is in fact a good manager 🤣

No fecking way he is going there - he’s not thick and not a poor man - all these top teams are full of volatile foreign players with egos bigger than their heads and that’s not mentioning the rich owners who can’t resist sticking their noses in - the good teams are the ones you don’t hear about the manager and are experienced enough to manage both egomaniiacal
Players and owners - Pep being a good example

Frank is a bright guy and Doug is a proper owner - it’s a free hit next season to wait out Tuchels world cup

We will know the result before the season starts.

What bothers me is if we don't do well in the qualifiers for Europe they might start looking for a replacement in a year, although I think he has the job for 2 years. I hope Lampard has a great 2 seasons with us then is in the running for the next England manager role. It would be ẁsad to see him go like this but at least he would deserve it.
