Lack of respect and violence and abuseWhen I was younger there were 15 divisions
District had 2 premier divisions 5 senior and 5 intermediate. central had a further 3 divisions. So around 180 teams. Probably 2500 players. How can that disappear
Plus they get priority for away tickets. Most of the local teams went over to the Leamington leagues over the past year or two. Its a far nicer league.
Teams and Players have had enough of attempts to break their legs by some still pissed up cokeheads.
And the weird level of faux alpha dominance from some failed players trying to portray themselves as the big man and it ending up in ligament injuries.Lack of respect and violence and abuse
Yes, this is true. I was General Secretary for 13 seasons, but resigned in 2019/20. Mainly due to lack of interest/ teams folding etc. There was talk if merging with Nuneaton Sunday League but I don't know hpw that went as I'm living in Thailand now.
I think that’s right tooHappening across the board - there are just way fewer people playing football. The rise of the streaming generation I think.
I play in a 7-a-side on a wednesday and we used to be over-subscribed every week. Now we're having to make it 5-a-side most weeks.
Probably goes hand in hand with when they started having "E-Sports" instead of calling it "being a lazy shit playing games all day"Happening across the board - there are just way fewer people playing football. The rise of the streaming generation I think.
He's on about the entire league from next seasonSurely it’s because there would be a large number of call-offs as many players will not be available due to the game versus Wrexham. Gives them the chance to join the end of season celebrations. Games will be made up midweek.
Really wonder what's behind this?Is that right they’ll be no sunday league after this season, that’s mad
It seems there may be a market for a league with strict discipline rules. Basically, don't intentionally try and hurt your opponent, no threats of violence. If you do, banned for the season.
Fuck offNot sure why the last one isn’t the rule everywhere tbh. Same with kids parents attacking refs. As a society we need to be a lot quicker telling abusive dick heads they aren’t welcome. Only takes one or two to ruin it for everyone be it public sector workers, volunteers, retail workers, driving.
