Did we use it for two seasons?, only as we wore it in 2013 in the fa cup against Tottenham.

Yes... lost at home to Southampton in it.

It was around the time when there was barely any kit around, and all of poor quality (remember the club shop at Gallagher Retail?) and playing Spurs meant it was convenient to use.

God, it’s mental to think how far we’ve come as a club when thinking about the Sisu years

There's actually a great page on wikipedia that has the actual shades of our kits since 2006. Some of the beauties but also some of the abominations!

Anyway I bring it up because it shows how the shade of sky blue has changed over the years, it's actually at it's most dull/pastel now:

11-12 being particularly intense and 13-15 (shudder) looking washed out

On us rehashing old kits thought to have a look and, if you don’t count the brown kit this year (which isn’t really a kit imo since we won’t play in it), we haven’t really done it since the 23/24 away kit.

Last three home kits in a row have been original kits and last two away without their being any obvious inspiration.

Just want a rerun of the pony '94 kit, with Hummel chevrons instead of the pony ones..

Still pissed off I spent £75 on something advertised as a 4th kit that we then decided not to wear.

I'm still hoping that everything is done ahead of Watford and we wear it there.

I think we need to move on as a club and stop rehashing old kits all the time.
I know what you mean, but basically there's not much you can do. It's Sky Blue, stripes or plain and mess about with a bit of detailing, but be different enough to sell plenty.

May potentially play in brown against Watford. Heard this, but not sure how true.

Or look at it an other way, it's more unique and possibly more valuable in the future, if we released it and never wore it.

Feels a bit late now ( unless it’s a commercial ploy in which case would need to be announced very soon)
Would want to us to be in Sky Blue for the last game.
Nothing special about Watford, mate. The parties will be Tuesday and Sunday. The players are liable to still be pissed by the time Watford comes around. I'd put my mortgage on us losing that one.

Whats it called if its not called a 4th kit, and why so precious about whether it's worn or not, out of curiosity?
Anything other than '4th kit' I'd say.

I collect all match shirts. Wouldn't have spunked £75 on a shirt we weren't going to wear in the same way I didn't buy The Enemy one.

So you buy a shirt they haven't said they will wear then moan when they don't wear it...right ok
Yeah because releasing something called '4th kit' including selling shorts and socks (I didn't buy those, I'm no FKW) and selling them in the kit section of the online store couldn't possibly lead fans to think its something that will be worn by the players.... 🤔

To be fair on the website itself it's not listed as 4th kit. Might be an indexing thing, maybe a holdover from last season.
It literally says this the following in the description when you click onto the shirt (in the kit section on the online store):

"This year's fourth shirt is a modern take on the infamous Chocolate Brown kit from 1978."

Please just be a good one for our return to the Premier League. And "hot coral" only appearing as the sponsors logo

I like a stripe but it would get ruined by petty rules.

Prem rules about stripes are weird, you are technically allowed full stripes as long as the numbers remain legible.. but they made Sunderland add a white block behind the number on their home shirt of black numbers on white & red stripes so the bar is very high by the looks of it.

what the sell in store Vs on field

Calling it a fourth kit rather than special edition or commemorative etc did suggest to me also that it's part of the kit rotation. Maybe the plan is to exorcise the demons of wearing that last brown kit against Watford.

If it’s going to be stripes then please be a rehash of the Umbro kit and tonal skyblue or the Gremio rehash with navy instead of white. .

Actually this year Gremio had there usual stripes Home kit but a beautiful skyblue away kit.
